      Alexa had cracked a window open, hoping that the cool evening breeze would find a way to dispel the musky heat that permeated her small room. In front of her sat her laptop. The machinery whirred and the screen burned her eyes. A blank document was open before her, mocking her and her inability to think. In her mind it seemed to be the easiest thing in the world to rest her fingers on the keyboard and fill up the page with a seamless array of black marks.
