The crowd erupted as Lily went into her traditional show closer, ‘What Dreams May Come,’ the most popular of her songs. As she sung she looked out upon the undulating mass of adoring fans and smiled. Through the chorus she held the microphone out and let the power of the crowd wash over her. The air blew through the open arena and her loose white dress fluttered around her.

She held her arms outstretched and the dress billowed out, making her appear like a supernatural, ethereal creature, and to her fans those were apt descriptions. The music swelled as the song reached its crescendo and the guitar screamed out, its wail slicing through the air.

The rhythm of the drums crashed thunderously around her and Lily was swept up in the emotion and the grandeur of the moment. She brought the microphone back to her lips and sang out the last verse, almost wishing that it could go on forever.
