Gary-Talks With Gary Jr.
It has been weeks since I spoke with my son,
I felt so guilty but when I called he answered.
We had exchanged a few texts in the past few weeks,
But as far as any phone conversations, that was nonexistent.
It felt good to hear his voice and catch up with him,
He was excelling and doing great in school.
We definitely acknowledged that we miss each other,
That we can’t wait to see each other sooner than later.
I told him this was my last case and I was taking off for a while,
Joe and I needed the break, we’ve been on the road for months.
Staying in different hotels, driving in rental cars for weeks on end,
Meeting and dealing with various people in different cities.
Eating out nearly everyday and finding places to eat,
While trying to keep a low profile and not be too noticeable.
My son is growing into a solid young man,
As he’s doing what I asked in taking care of his mother and grandparents.
I got him up to speed with the last few cases that I’ve been working on,
Along with the current case that I’m part of and trying to get an arrest on.
Our conversation lasted for a half an hour as we both had to get going,
We said we loved each other and goodbyes as it was time for me to get to work.
Sherry-Beaten
Laying in a hospital bed, beaten, battered and helpless,
My family is by my bedside as my mother cries in agony.
I feel it's all my fault for everything that's happened,
But it's not, and that's what everyone has been telling me.
I stayed a few months too long with an abuser,
He’s my former boyfriend and police officer Nate.
My story starts here because I plan on talking about it all,
From how we met to his controlling and evil ways.
And let’s not
