This book is dedicated to all the prayer warriors who permeated the atmosphere with prayers to combat COVID-19, police brutality, and the attacks on the body of Christ.

INTRODUCTION

How do you withstand the attacks of the enemy in the evil day? With prayer and praise. It was Nehemiah who said, I’m doing a great, so that I cannot come down (Neh. 6:3, KJV). This book is the process of praising the Lord for his goodness, then praying down fire from heaven for manifestation, and then receiving revelation knowledge from on high. This book encourages the body of Christ to walk as one man.

CHAPTER ONE

PURPOSE

Psalm 33:1–22 (NIV)

Sing joyfully to the Lord, you righteous;

it is fitting for the upright to praise him.

2

Praise the Lord with the harp;

make music to him on the ten-stringed lyre.

3

Sing to him a new song;

play skillfully and shout for joy.

4

For the word of the Lord is right and true;

He is faithful in all he does.

5

The Lord loves righteousness and justice;

the earth is full of his unfailing love.

By the word of the Lord, the heavens were made,

their starry host by the breath of his mouth.

He gathers the waters of the sea into jars[a];

He puts them deep into storehouses.

Let all the earth fear the Lord;

let all the people of the world revere him.

For he spoke, and it came to be;

he commanded, and it stood firm.

The Lord foils the plans of the nations;

he thwarts the purposes of the people.

Prayer

Father God, we come to you this morning in the spirit of humility and grace because we know that you love us, Lord. We pray that you establish our purpose in this life that we are in. Lord, we know that you have numbered our days, Lord, and we depend on you, Lord, to bring us out, Lord. We say thank you, Lord. Lord, direct our paths this day, Lord. As we maneuver through this pandemic of sickness, Lord, put praise on our lips, Lord, and a song in our hearts, Lord. You are so worthy, Lord, and we need you, Lord. Father God, we plead the blood over every circumstance in our lives, Lord, we plead the blood over our children, Lord, and we ask that you dispatch your angels of protection all around our families, Lord. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Purpose

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to his purpose (Rom. 8:28, KJV).

When you understand your purpose in life, you begin to move toward your real goals and objectives, and you begin to operate on a different level. As a kid, I trained in martial arts. As you grow, you get to a place where you train and work out by yourself. When you move into the direction of experience and confidence, you put away a childish mentality and you become a man. Not one person has it all and not one person knows it all. Some of the greatest minds in the world still depend on others and other resources.

People will try to make you think that because you have been called into ministry that you should know everything. The greatest leaders were great followers at one time in their lives; those that have been broken and have experienced the highs and the lows. In the book of Corinthians, Paul tried to remind the Corinthian believers because they thought they were super saints. They deemed themselves better than others because they had some gifts and talents. Everyone has shortcomings.

There are no perfect people walking the face of the earth. There are some individuals that are called triple threats; they can sing, dance, and act and They are skilled at doing these things. But with all those gifts and talents, you have to manage them wisely. Every good and perfect gift is from the Lord. Give all credit to God (Jas. 1:17, NIV).

For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, Not many noble are called (1 Cor. 1:26, KJV).

When I started out with martial arts, I experienced a lot of pain and I didn’t have a lot of confidence. If you’re going to be a warrior for the Lord, you’re gonna have some setbacks and pain. This is your development and the process of becoming mature. Being called by God doesn’t exempt you from pain.

Being betrayed and being hurt develops your muscles. Can you remember what you used to be like when you were younger, when you didn’t have as solid footing in the Word of the Lord? The disappointments and let downs. But God has chosen the foolish things to confound the wise. We pick things based on head knowledge and God picks based on heart knowledge.

It was David who was a man after God’s own heart. We look at the outer and God looks at the inner. It is the heart of the man that makes you a man.

Look not on his countenance, or on his stature; or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth (1 Sam. 16:7, ASV).

One of the first kings was Saul. He stood head and shoulder with everyone else, so people thought he should be king. People looked at his exterior and they deemed that he was qualified to lead God’s people, but God chose someone out in the field. A man that had been forgotten about. If you’re reading this and people considered you as the outcast or the black sheep of your family, or maybe you felt that you were not handsome or pretty enough, you see, what I love about God is the fact that God took you and I, and God changed our lives because God is doing the choosing. He took the foolish things to confound the wise.

God wants to download inside of you and me his information. God’s information is faster than these high-tech phones.

God is continually downloading information into his people. The Word says he took the weak things to confound the mighty and the base things, Those unseemly things, God put it under the blood of
