About this ebook

“A Cup of Tea and Devotions”

Why was I inspired to create this devotional? I wrote this journal simply because I, myself, needed to be encouraged. Like so many others, I needed to know that in my most darkness times, God is there, in most fearful moments, God is carrying me and guiding me alone all life’s obstacles. Besides, my own tribulations, I have always had a passion in writing, inspiring and encouraging other women to become the best version of themselves. You will see that in this book, I have chosen scriptures that God has placed personally on my heart that have instrumentally changed and has shaped the course my life. These are some inspired verses that I meditate on often when I need an uplift. I hope that the same verses that encourage me will also motivate and empower you in your journey with the Lord. I pray this will strengthen you and propel you to grow deeper in your Faith while reading, journaling, and learning all about God’s love, grace, and mercy. No matter what we may face, know, and believe that He loves you immensely and that he will never leave nor forsake you! And, perhaps to, while going through this journal, you may even be interested in learning about all the different herbal teas you can drink and their benefits in this book. “Let your roots grow down into him, and let lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness! (Colossians 2:7)

    ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

Giving thanks to God, my Father, who is my

headship, and my Lord, who is in heaven, for

allowing me to do this devotion. Writing has always

been one of my passions and, ultimately, a

ministry I wanted to pursue achieve for a long

time. Thank Him for granting me the desire to

inspire many women in their walk with him. To

my sweet husband for always believing in me

and that I can do anything; thank you, I love you

so much. Also, I want to thank my immediate

family as well for again believing in me.

    PREFACE

Here is some heart-picked devotion I have chosen

to write about, along with some of my favorite

scriptures that have helped encourage me over the

years and still encouraging me today. I know

that many of these devotions I have written may

read the same, but it is all to incorporate

confidence in God and continue to help you stay

focused on your walk with him. In each new

devotion is filled with some power-packed truth

that will let you know that you are not alone.

God knows of the circumstances. In this devotion,

I want to encourage each one of you to stay

committed. Dedicated not just to this devotion

but to God and his call on your life. God has so

much in store for you. Continue to cling to the hope

that one day, things will get better, hope that

His promises will come true. I hope that you will

reap the ultimate great reward one day, and that

is meeting our Lord, Jesus Christ in heaven! Do

not ever allow yourself to feel alone, inadequate,

or unloved. God's love is real and authentic. You

are precious to Him. You are what and whom

He says you are, beautiful, chosen, set apart,

purposed, forgiven, refined, redeemed, made alive,

and saved. Choose to hold fast His every word and

his Son who died on the cross for us, Jesus Christ.

    OPENING VERSE

    (Ephesians 1:4)

"Even Before He Made the World, God Loved

Us and Chose Us in Christ to Be Holy and

    Without Fault in His Eyes!"

    OPENING PRAYER

    Dear God,

Thank you so much for this devotion that I am

about to read and study. May I allow the words of

this study to help me to draw closer to you, Lord,

as I continue to grow in this journey that you

have me on, teach me how to trust, and lean on

Your every word and allow it to help guide me in

my everyday situations. Lord, I believe in this,

and help me to stay focused and renewed each

day in this devotion. Teach me something new

and uplifting day by day. When I feel like giving

up, Lord, help me to continue to go on and further

beyond this devotion so that I can grow and

help others by encouraging and empowering them

to go deeper in their walk with you. Thank

you, Lord, for what you are about to

do in me and others as well.

    DEVOTIONS

    CHAPTER ONE

    "WONDERFULLY &

    FEARFULLY MADE"

    (PSALM 139: 14)

"I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully

made; your works are wonderful and

That my soul knows very well".

"Be who God meant you to be and

you will set the world on fire"

    -Saint Catherine of Siena-

Have you at any given point said to yourself,

on the off chance that I can be

and resemble this, or if I can land that position or

be in the part of society worthy of anyone

attention, at that point; I will; How

about this phrase, I want to be good and

perfect enough for God to love me. Let me

    pause this and go on to say that; God loves us still;

we do not have to be perfect enough or be in

some categories or fit the mold to be part of his

kingdom. I want to encourage you right now to

throw away that point of view and start believing

that God has uniquely made and carve you

perfectly. You are enough, and you can do and be

anything God has instructed you to be. There

is no-one like you, and there is not going to be

anyone other than you. Whether you believe my

words to be true, God’s word says that you have

been made and chosen on purpose. You are not

a mistake or an accident; God has created you

and has appointed you to do his perfect will. He

has set apart your heart and designed you the

way you are for a reason. I believe this is true

because dealing with my insecurities was a battle

I fought for many years. I know that some of

you can relate to what I’m talking about. The spirit

of depression is real. All it takes is a seed of

self-doubt to manifest itself inside of you, and it

can open a floodgate to the enemy schemes. We

must recognize the devil plot when it comes and

how we can withstand them when it does. We

know that anything contrary to God’s ways and

    word
