      Awakening

      Patient nature

      Opens seams

      In concrete wasteland

      Council schemes

      As consciousness

      Seeps into dream

      Silently awakening

      Beast

      It’s a beast of a wind

      Assailing tonight

      Dragons of darkness

      Destruction in flight

      Weeping glass holds them at bay

      Untrammelled souls

      Cruelly carried away

      Never again to see morning

      Or the beast begotten 

      Dawning of day

      Invisible

      Scaly as sin

      Destruction without

      Mirrors

      Darkness within

      Fleeting phantasms scurry around

      Loving shies from the storm

      As this beast shakes the ground

      Momentary monster king

      Drowning out dreams with the sound

      Of its gnashing teeth sleek talon ring

      Slowly sleep subdues 

      Slipping fitfully from its grasp

      Into a cool subconscious hue

      Freed to imagine

      Something quite new 

      Bestseller

      Ask me what I’m doing

      What are you doing ?

      I’m writing a bestseller

      Not a book mind

      A bestseller

      There’s a difference

      Ask me what it’s about

      What’s it about ?

      It’s about gratitude

      Unusual start to a story I grant you

      But some stories are true

      You deserve such stories

      Such stories deserve you. 

      Bigger

      Getting bigger

      Faster 

      Stronger 

      Richer

      Clever hardened me

      Product of my culture

      One plus two makes three

      But look at this

      Look at this 

      Look at this

      Ripening bud

      On each and every tree

      Not a product of knowledge

      Manufactured by many or one

      Like you

      A gift of the sun

      It’s a miracle you see. 

      Birds

      The dawning sky fills with birds

      I do not know where they come from

      This morning mind fills with words

      Equally
