I thank Fabricio, because without him this book would never exist. I thank my teachers, Ian and Gilberto, as each one played an important role in this journey. I thank my mother, who has always been an enthusiast over all my ideas. I thank Lucas and Hanna for being my contact with the real world, and Valter who unraveled the mysteries of text writing and the peculiarities of the Portuguese language.
First Words
Choosing the recipes that would be part of this book was one of the most complicated pieces when writing it. I wanted to use the recipes that were already on my blog, but at the same time, I felt the need to add recipes I had never even tried before. I wanted my book to be able to contemplate the greatest number of people and tastes, what a difficult mission this is. I chose to try to balance the different types of meat, as well as adding vegetarian recipes. I also added some recipes that are my favorites and that ended up creating a new section in my book, the snacks. Finally, the hardest piece was finding sweet recipes that I knew how to make and that did not require an infinite amount of ingredients, as I do prefer the savory ones. Some of the recipes have chronicles that I wrote and posted on my blog at different times in my life. So a lot may have changed since they were written, but at the same time, they offer a good record of what goes through our minds when we go to the kitchen, which, by the way, can make all the difference.
