Before WHO even arrives at the studio where our photographer is shooting mum, podcaster, author, TV host and self-confessed “crap housewife” Jessica Rowe, we can hear her! Over pumping tunes including Tina Turner’s ‘Nutbush City Limits’ and ‘As It Was’ by Harry Styles, Rowe is laughing uproariously as she throws shapes to best showcase the eclectic clothes she’s chosen for our pictures. “I think this is the most fun I’ve had on a shoot,” she says. “I haven’t stopped smiling all morning.”
Another reason for Rowe’s joy is that she’s just released her book Mum Jokes. “I love to laugh, I love to be silly and this project, as well as this shoot, really shares who I am. I know I’m not cool – and I’m cool with that.”
Rowe, 52, also credits her hard-won joy to the staunch love and support of her husband of 19 years,
