CHAPTER 1
I would like to start this story off by saying that life is full of joy, pain, events, past and present, revelations, growth, and learning new things. What I am going to enlighten you on in this book will definitely be an eye-opener to those who either don’t know or don’t know what they don’t know and don’t know why they don’t know what they don’t know. This person is called a pseudo-intellectual. Just continue to read on.
See, when you pay close attention to your surroundings, things start to manifest themselves when you open your mind to them.
The one thing that I have realized in life by paying attention to my surroundings is, it was there the whole time. I was just not paying enough attention at first, but when I focused on a certain person, place, or thing, I saw things differently in all angles. Paying attention to detail is very important; you can reach great heights and have great achievements in your walk through life.
Well, I have to say that a lot of things have happened since I last talked to you in my first book, The Biography of a Mental Muscle; it was a roller-coaster ride for sure. Let me tell you that Mental Muscle was in full effect or, should I say, was used at its full throttle. Man, every time, I turned around, it was an obstacle for me. I just couldn’t believe what was going on in my world. Seriously, it was like I was tried all the time in every way, over and over again, in any shape, form, or fashion. But then I chose to take charge of the situation and started putting my inner strength into play, and it worked!
You see me writing about it, right? So I am hyped for my newfound experience that has me balanced. First, I would like to inform my readers that I am happily married with a wife whom I consider a close friend, indeed, even before our holy matrimony. How we ended up? I didn’t have a clue at one time, until I realized that not only do we have the same wants, but we have the same desires; and not only do we have the same desires, we have the same spiritual vibe, which is not seen with the human eye. It is called a chemical infinite acceptance of reality. Reality is just that—reality. The most important thing in any relationship is a chemical connection between two people; it’s like a reassurance that you have come to the meeting of the souls in the universe. Am I getting too deep for you? If you have a soul mate, then you can relate to what I am saying. Well, to make a long story short, I found my soul mate and a chemical connection with the wife I am with now, and it is a good feeling. It really feels good when you don’t work hard to be with someone, it all just clicks together on its own.
I will move on from that. I eventually moved from where I last lived when I wrote my first book and moved to North West, in a house with my daughters, and I must say I really enjoyed this move because I was not only near my job, but it was a new beginning for me and my daughters. I had just got out of a relationship that was not healthy for me in any shape, form, or fashion; and this move just put me in a different mood altogether. I was free! Well, not until a spark came along and changed my whole world. It was hard in a way working on the last odds and ends of my book, publishing, getting legal documents signed and sealed, working with the director of the movie Second Chance, based on my book the whole nine. But as they say, patience is a virtue, and I find that to be true in all areas of life—well, it worked for me. The film crew started filming in DC like every week, and I was shopping for a publisher all the while, which was hard because not every publisher is going to like your material regardless of what it is or what the story is about; it has to pass serious editing with the publishing company. Any publishing company an author is with goes through this process. Even if you have had it edited already by a personal editor or not, the publishing company still does their job as to editing your material for publication.
