About this ebook

About the Book
God has not entirely hidden His purpose of creating man in His own image when He created the heavens and earth and all things therein. He designed us to be able to have direct communion with Him, as we read in Genesis 2:15–17. This direct communion was, however, estranged by the sin of Adam and Eve. To remedy the Fall, God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, whose death on the cross was a sacrifice for our reconciliation back to the glory of God.
In Jesus Christ, who is the image of the invisible God, we can see God and commune with Him, powered by the redeeming name of His Son, Jesus, and through the help and counsel of the Holy Spirit. Hence, we are sons and daughters of God, and in our interaction with Him in prayer, which is a conversation, we become sure of our heavenly inheritance. The name of Jesus, through the all-important and reliable work of the Holy Spirit, provides us with the vital knowledge and understanding of the vast riches and hidden treasures of God on our planet earth, plus a tiny glimpse of what awaits us in heaven.
The way and manner of this conversation, its necessity in our daily lives as individual persons, the government, and the communities in our world today, is what this book is set to describe. This inspired work of the Holy Spirit is meant to open your eyes to God’s supernatural resources around you. Many people today have what you need; they may be willing to share with others, but for some reason, you do not see them or appreciate their virtues. Reading this book and understanding the God in you will make a difference. Experience the peace of the almighty God as you begin a conversation with Him in the truth, liberty, and joy of His Spirit, using the name of Jesus as the master key to all doors. This book serves as the step and provides the key to the divine peace of mind and God’s hidden treasures.

Unlocking the unfailing love of God through daily family conversations

To the memory of my beloved brother and mentor, Chief Livinus Anoliefo, Uzoegholu I of Ekwulumili (Mali Brothers).

And to my parents, Chief Jacob Umegbosimba and Lolo Margret Anoliefo (Dibuije). Through them, God brought me to where He needs me.

I give glory to God as I mention my loving grandma Madam Mary Mgbeke Okpoko Anoliefo of blessed memory. From her I learnt to overlook the past and focus on the present and look to the future with smiles.

Special tribute to an extraordinary mum, a caring aunt, late Mrs Josephine Obele whose love for me was so exceptional and inspiring. She gave me the nickname Okenwa (Great Child) in 1984 at St. Luke’s Catholic Church Ekwulumili during a routine visit from the Archbishop of Onitsha most Rev. Dr. Francis Arinze who is now Cardinal Francis Arinze working in the Vatican City. This nickname Okenwa may have influenced my understanding of myself.

I also mention the person of Rev. Fr. Anthony Chukwudi Obele, the Parish Priest of St. Mary Mother of the Church Parish Ukpor Centre. His priestly work has been a thing of joy and pride for Ekwulumili Catholics after bearing the pain of the untimely loss of her first indigenous priest late Rev fr Raphael Nwankwo. May his precious soul together with all the souls departed through the mercy of God rest in peace. And may the living live in the love and pattern of Christ Jesus. Amen.

    ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

My thanks to Albert Druhe for believing in me. His telephone call from Germany on a Sunday evening during the Covid-19 lockdown was a Spirit move which I could not resist any longer. Albert reminded me of the desire of many viewers of my TV gospel presentation on Sundays at Offener Kanal Television Kiel to have them in print form. For viewers like him in Germany, and of course around the world, I am pleased to write this book. For others who are not within the reach of the local TV in Germany, this book will provide the opportunity to experience the truth of the Bible. It will make a difference in your prayer life and in your relationship with God. I am under the awesome influence and anointing of the Holy Spirit as I write the text of this book.

It is now ready. Thank You, Lord Jesus; Your Spirit is at work. I can do all things according to Him who gives me strength. Indeed, God is my refuge and strength, a very present help in times of need.

Thanks to my pretty wife, Chioma, for her love, trust, and consistent support; her devotion to the things of God Abba Father has been a great boost to my energy. To my sons, Obinna and Chuka, your thought-provoking ideas in general, and design and graphics, have been invaluable. Chuka, you are wonderful a proof-reader.

Further thanks to Chris Johnson for his motivation and advice on the cover concept.

    FOREWORD BY

    REV. FR. ANTHONY OBELE

I have read through this prayer booklet and it is dense with hunger for initiating conversations with God, which is prayer.

More so, this prayer book is a must read; it hangs in and revolves around the basic principles of prayer which are faith, trust, confidence and honesty; with this our prayers are answered.

I recommend this book for genuine seekers of God.

    FOREWORD BY

    TOCHUKWU EZEOKE

Conversations With God is a fantastic read, it comes highly recommended for believers who want to deepen their relationship with God, and for non-believers as well who would want to explore the subject matter.

The book explains the importance of prayer as the means of communication between God and His children and encourages readers to make out time for prayer as it strengthens the relationship with the heavenly father.

The book is laced with personal experiences and accounts that highlight the Author’s life from Ekwulumili to the current stage in his Christian life. A well-detailed recollection of past events that shaped the current realities.

Uche W. Anoliefo concludes the book Conversations With God by outlining recommended prayer samples that reach heaven. It is a well-structured book, and a step-by-step guide on how to converse with God through prayers.

    Kind Regards,

    Tochukwu Ezeoke

    TO TALK WITH GOD

    ALMIGHTY

W HAT DOES IT MEAN TO talk with God? Why is it necessary? And how does it go?

Qara, in the Old Testament Hebrew lexicon, means to call or to cry out for help or attention, with God in focus. The word prayer is associated with calling on God’s name for attention, help, or assistance. This, however, cannot define prayer properly for those who know God and depend on His mighty power in their daily lives. They will define prayer firstly as acknowledgement that God
