Foreword
Let’s Talk to Our Father addresses the subject of prayer. The discussion focuses primarily on dealing with the fear that seems to be in many Christians whenever they are called upon to pray in other people’s presence. This fear comes to them because they feel inadequate to voice a prayer in the hearing of others. The book gives adequate reasons why many Christians lack the confidence to pray in public and offers some principles on how to overcome such fear. This is a reality that affects very many Christians—young and old, female and male.
The title of the book, Let’s Talk to Our Father, speaks volumes on the meaning of prayer. The book encourages Christians to talk to God as to their Father. The basic manual that teaches about prayer is the Bible. The book explains how the Word of God is used as a prayer to God. The Bible has a record of very many prayers used by different people in the history of the Bible.
The author of the book, Let’s Talk to Our Father, is herself a prayer warrior of long experience, from her childhood to the present day. She testifies to the fact that God answers her prayers. Therefore, she is encouraged to take praying to God as a serious business and desires to share her experience with others. Jane Shalom prays and thanks God for everything in her life. For her, any time is prayer time, and anywhere is a prayer place. The book clearly expresses the author’s own perspective and conviction regarding the issue of prayer.
This book is a valuable companion to both new and mature believers in Christ. Both sets of Christians need to keep learning how to effectively communicate with God, their heavenly Father.

Acknowledgments
I want to express my total gratitude to almighty God, who created me and has equipped me to live this life. Without His benevolent mercy and goodness through Jesus Christ, I would not be. So Father, with a grateful heart, receive my thanksgiving, and I praise the Holy Spirit for inspiring me. Take all the glory for the accomplished work in this book.
I am eternally grateful to my dad and mom, who did their best to bring me up in the ways of the Lord. I also acknowledge my spiritual parents, Pastors Bolu and Dayo Olutayo, who nurtured and taught me diligence in the Word and service to God in every stage of life I passed. They were the first pastors in my life who showed me how to study and search the Word of God as well as how to stand on it and walk by faith.
To Dr. Lawrence and Jane Dena, thank you for your faithfulness and nonjudgmental love that kept me and my children in the kingdom when the storms of the trial were buffeting us.
My chief editor, Lashaun Achieng Ominde, without your tireless editing of this book, it would still be on the memory shelf. You have worked so diligently and brought your skills and excellence to round up what God put in my spirit to say. I am grateful that God has brought you up for a time like this. May you spread your wings and soar.
To my entire family, which I am connected to by blood and love, thanks for doing life with me: the laughter, tears, hugs, gifts of money, and kindness, all of it! Iron sharpens iron, but man sharpens man. Thank you for being my sharpener.
Last but not least, to the special children that call me Mum and Grandma. Your
