Channel Mendoza
Channel Mendoza was born in Brooklyn, New York. Before she started writing full-time poetry. She has been a Teacher Assistant, Probation Officer Screener for Juveniles, Child Protective Investigator, and Foster Licensing Specialist. She has been writing poetry for friends and family all her life, to include having her poem “my eyes are closed” published in Queens borough's Community College newspaper during her time completing her A.A degree in Liberal arts. Channel then graduated from saint Leo university with her b.s in human services, and is currently completing her m.s in human services family intervention with Walden university. Her now first completed poetry book “Affliction” with poems based on trauma, pain, and heartache, it will soon be available. She plans to make it a new York times best seller. She’s a sucker for good poetry and blushes at romance poems. Her husband doesn’t seem to complain. However when she is not reading and writing poetry she’s cooking, baking, watching an HBO series insecure, games of thrones, and singing all Mary j.blige and AL green tunes. She and her husband share their home in central Florida with their two extraordinary Children ruckus 1 and 2 and a lifetime collection of poetry books. 37917.pngThat beautiful smell of your aroma and lavender smelled sheets that nice caress from your hands to my feet, those soft lips that taste of happiness along with dancing fairies in my head. That longing to touch you and see you again is where we were once again
Those soft cheeks upon your face and that charming smile, kept me close and naïve to all the pain and the cries that trickled down my face. The anger and aggression kept me thrilled and yearning for more.
Who is this man? what does he stand for? the power in his voice can clear a room. His silence was deadly, with one shot of his look made you quiver, and think of darkness. But I was always yearning, yearning longing for
