She has been a Teacher Assistant, Probation Officer Screener for Juveniles, Child Protective Investigator, and Foster Licensing Specialist. She has been writing poetry for friends and family all her life, to include having her poem “my eyes are closed” published in Queens borough's Community College newspaper during her time completing her A.A degree in Liberal arts. Channel then graduated from saint Leo university with her b.s in human services, and is currently completing her m.s in human services family intervention with Walden university. Her now first completed poetry book “Affliction” with poems based on trauma, pain, and heartache, it will soon be available. She plans to make it a new York times best seller. She’s a sucker for good poetry and blushes at romance poems. Her husband doesn’t seem to complain. However when she is not reading and writing poetry she’s cooking, baking, watching an HBO series insecure, games of thrones, and singing all Mary j.blige and AL green tunes.
