      Introduction

      Coming out can be a very difficult task. The stress and the confusion of how people are going to react mixed with the pain of loneliness and misunderstanding. Then, more often than not, comes the relief and surprise of acceptance.

      Thank you to my closest friends past and present who remained by my side during the darkest times. I am eternally grateful for your strength, love and humour.
