Introduction
Why am I writing this, you might ask.
For starters, let’s talk about what this book isn’t about.
This is not meant for me to gain fame, or to exact vengeance at my ex- husband (for that would only mean I consciously hurt my kids in the process.) This is not to say ‘I am right and he was wrong’. It takes two to tango, so I’m sure I have contributed (albeit unknowingly) to the demise of my marriage.
What this book is about, lies at my desire to save other marriages from a similar fate. I believe domestic violence does not always have to end in divorce or separation. But for marriages (and ultimately, families) to thrive beyond spousal abuse and domestic violence, we must first STOP putting too much responsibility on the abused to get out of it
