About this ebook

All my life I have been a seeker, seeking knowledge, seeking truth, and seeking a better way to live. Because of my biological parents and their own struggles with life, I believed that there had to be a better way to live than with constant trails, addiction, and anger. I did not want to live that way or turn out that way. I believed that if I sought God and sought his way that my life could be better, happier, and more successful. Every day of my life, I sought Godin church services, in Christian books, in reading the Bible, and in leaders that spoke plainly about their own struggles and how, with Gods help, they could overcome.

    SEEKING

Seek ye the Lord while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near. Isaiah 55:6 KJV

All my life I have been a seeker, seeking knowledge, seeking truth, seeking a better way to live. Because of my biological parents and their own struggles with life, I believed that there had to be a better way to live, than with constant trails, addiction and anger. I did not want to live that way or turn out that way, I believed that if I sought God and sought His way, that my life could be better, happier and more successful. Every day of my life I sought God, in church services, in Christian books, in reading the bible and in leaders that spoke plainly about their own struggles and how with God’s help they could overcome. As a child, the only way I could seek God was through going to church on Sundays. I saw God as a Big God that was a rescuer. He would rescue me from my father’s anger and harsh discipline, from my mother’s weakness and apathy of life’s circumstances, and I would grow into the person God had ordained for me to be, even though my circumstances were not always the best, I believed that God would help me to transcend my circumstances and have the victory of a fulfilled life. As a teenager, I would read my bible, take bible classes in Catholic school and learn from my instructors that God not only wanted to rescue me, but to come and live inside of me and lead and guide me every day.

When I was in 6th grade I had an instructor, Mr. Cato, our text for that year was the Book of Job, and we would read a chapter a week and have class discussion. That class and that instructor changed my life. I saw the truth that circumstances do not need to shackle us and imprison us, that we are our own jailer holding the keys to our freedom. Either we could choose to be imprisoned or we could walk out into freedom. It is always our choice. Does that mean that I always made right choices? no it doesn’t, many times I made very bad choices, but I always knew that If I once again sought God and was willing to change, He would be there to lead and guide me in the right path. In my 20’s I got married to what I thought was a godly man. My ex-husband loved God but he had a hard time with his own rational of the bible, rational of evolution and rational of complete obedience unto God. We all must come to the point where we acknowledge that God is sovereign. I did not come to this knowledge overnight; it took me many years of seeking, studying and trusting God in all aspects of my life. In my 30’s I was a divorced woman with a child that was Autistic. Both I and my ex-husband have always been very hands on with Alex. Seeking whatever kind of intervention that Alex needed, be it in his education, medical, government services or extra-curricular activities. We always taught Alex that he was Autistic, but Autism did not have to define who he was. We taught him that he was his own person with individual talents and skills of his own making, and that he could accomplish whatever he set his mind to. Alex graduated from High School with honors; he participated on the boys’ basketball team, attended a post—graduate vocational school and now
