There are times in our lives we move Heaven and Earth

No matter the situation—we never get what we’re worth

But never in life did I dream of us two

So it’s me who give thanks to the Lord for you

-I’m Listening-

We met early one morning through the glimpse of the eyes

Your beauty was stunning, and that is no lie

Single, alone, this surely can’t be

But the question still came; did you have time for me?

-Still Listening-

As our hearts raced, and temperatures would rise

You invited me out, and that too was a surprise

We talked of our past, we laughed out as one

Never did we dream of each other having fun

-Just Listen-

So now my dear Lord, I give thanks for this girl

Most men search their whole life, they search the whole world

I have listened to rumors, I have listened to friends

But now it’s time for me to put all them to an end

Ears are for listening and I have done my part

But the feelings have grown, because I’ve listened to my heart

So give up on you sweetheart… you don’t know the real me

I keep what I want, and this you shall see

We have waited so long to put trust into love

So listen to His voice; He’s our Father above

Do You Know Needy Or Greedy?

Well this is a question that we all know

Some are so transparent while others never show

Yet sooner or later they will show up in your life

Whether they are a friend, a husband or a wife

Now the person might tell you all the right stuff

When you get caught up in their web you never get enough

Yet because you got caught in their web of lies

You became their victim when you finally realized

Now they might love you for what you can do

While others will show that they really don’t care about you

Yet they always have their hand out for some kind of need

And that’s when you realize the hand that you feed

Now Needy is someone who has a need all the time

Yet you feel guilty as they continue to blow your mind

While you want to say no, you feel that you are what they need

As you are drawn closer to their own personal greed

More and more they will take all that you own

Until you get fed up and tell them to leave you alone

So be careful of the person that you meet today

Or you may be the next victim of greed’s prey

When Heaven Cries

As I sit here today I look at the skies

While rain pours down it’s heaven that cries

We always look to the Lord when we are sad

Yet what would we do if the Lord answered too bad?

Each time we have a problem we turn the other cheek

Yet there are times we need to chill and just let heaven speak

While we go through our life without considering anyone else

Maybe we have been put here because we have been all about self

No matter what we are faced with there is always an out

We might not like the path but that’s not what life’s about

Sometimes we are made to cry so we can seek another

Your life is too short to think you don’t need a sister or a brother

Now if heaven can release tears, then why can’t you?

Instead of holding back, you need to hug someone too

Because how long will you continue to live a life of lies?

Only heaven can help you and that’s when heaven cries

Tears are not always a sign of sadness or grief

They could be happiness which could also bring relief

So please don’t hold back those tears from the skies

God is happy for you and that’s when heaven cries

Where Is She?

Do you remember when you really cared?

Your heart would race to the one it was shared

As time went pass, you would give him your all

Each passing moment would cause your emotions to call

When we meet, you shared how your feelings were deceived

Thinking your love would be returned when it was received

Now time has passed and you carry hurt in your head

What once was love and affection has now been labeled dead

Why would you allow another person to change the real you?

Knowing you have so much love inside yet you fail to do what you need to do

You go home at night without a smile on your face

Instead of happiness you’ve allowed emptiness to take love’s place

You once told me that what hurts you will make you strong

Yet you have allowed another man to kill your sweet song

You once told me you would enjoy giving a man your pleasure

Now due to the hurt, they have buried your loving treasure

While you prayed last night, you asked the Lord for the one

He has answered your request by sending you His son

So please pay attention when you’re told of a need

You’re responsible to keep him happy and his desire is what you must feed

Because you’ve been lost, living
