Good morning everyone within the sound of my voice

You are so misguided… you act like you have a choice.

The bishop spoke out about a message he’d received

While some think they are saved, they have been deceived.

The bishop stood tall and yelled, "You need to change.

Not your clothes or your car, it’s your spirit you need to exchange.

The Lord didn’t bless you for your own worldly desires

He’s anointed you so that you could start His fire."

The bishop yelled, Go out into the world and spread the Word.

While some don’t know their purpose, others ignored what they heard.

The bishop yelled, "You’re not living so that you can enjoy

It is God’s will that you spread His word and His joy."

Until you do the will of God, you will only wander the earth

While time moves forward, only the humble will understand their worth

The bishop yelled, Go out and change the world you know.

The Lord gave you a purpose as He watches where you go

No weapon formed against you shall prosper while you are under His protection

While most won’t understand why you; it is God’s face that they see in your reflection

Change your world by changing those whom you speak to

The Lord gives blessings; and tonight, He may use you.

The Roller-Coaster Ride

Now I want you to think about how life has been

A roller-coaster ride that leaves you not knowing where to begin

You look for life’s answers to your problems like a roller-coaster ride

While the loops in life keep leaving you feeling so sick inside.

Yet we hang onto hope that one day things will be all right

While we continue to ride the roller-coaster of life with no answers in sight

Now a roller coaster may seem like an amusement to many

Yet those loops can empty your pockets of every penny.

So while you ride the roller-coaster, you’re advised to hang on real tight

Because you might fall out without any warning tonight

Yet as the ride continues, some find this ride to be fun

While they yell and scream until the ride is done.

Dizzy from this ride that takes ten minutes at the most

Yet we can’t wait to return to this ride for us to boast.

Yelling and screaming are all heard from the ground

As life have its moments, just like a merry-go-round

So the next time you go to any amusement park

Remember the roller-coaster ride called life after dark

Be Real

Today I met a lady who told me of her past

She spoke about the lies and deceit she couldn’t grasp

While her eyes filled with tears, her emotions ran so high

She could no longer hold back the tears from her eyes

"I only want a man who can be honest and sincere

A man who is strong and can address me as his dear

I only want someone who understands my heart

A man who will stand and lead from the very start

I only want a man who can understand the Holy Spirit

A man who will fight for the Lord when he hears it."

I turned to her and stated I understand all of that

Yet, what have you offered? Or have you turned your back?

While she stated, "All of my life, I’ve given trust to a man

Only to be hurt or deceived for reasons I don’t understand."

Now I know you really don’t understand how I feel.

She said, Do you have any idea how hard it is for a man to be real?

I turned to her and said, "Hold up, it’s my turn

You are a lady, and I understand you’ve been burned

But how can you claim every man should be real?

When you complain about your past without allowing others to deal

How many have you rejected when God sent them your way?

Only to remain safe and lonely each and every day

It’s your heart they have stolen, and you’re right on how you feel

But until you forgive, I ask, are you for real?"

You’re The Seed

Well, now, today, I heard a message that moved me

It was a sign that had come from Thee

Now we all have our moments and even some doubts

Yet the bishop broke down what he was talking about

While the bishop yelled out, "we all have our needs

Are you someone’s dirt, or are you God’s seed?’

To be God’s seed, you will go through God’s change

Now this will take faith while you make life’s exchange

Like any seed, you must be set down so you can grow

Are you willing to change or will you stay stuck at what you don’t know?

To grow in life, you must start out as a seed

While you develop, you will also have needs

As the years go by, your change will cause you to grow

From the darkness, you will see the light for what you don’t know

As you become a bud, your expectations will sprout

While you continue to change, you begin to understand what life’s about

Soon you will blossom like a fruit from a tree

Now you have come full circle from the hands of Thee

So tonight, instead of craving a selfish need

Look at your life as you realize you’re God’s seed
