MIRACLES
God has put this in my heart. I did not know that moving to Texas would make a huge change in my life, but it has. All of the changes have been for the better; one of the best choices I could have ever made was to uproot myself from where I was living to come live here in Texas, where I have had the great opportunity to meet many people that have made and will forever make great huge, wonderful changes in my life. They have helped me make good choices, and they have been able to show me that there are many things that I should grateful for. I could have stayed back in Arizona, but I am really glad that I did not and decided to move to Texas. I now attend a superb, wonderful, awesome deaf church, the greatest that Texas could ever have in the state, which has really awesome, magnificent, smart, and truly some of the greatest members that any church could ever have. Sometimes you can never know how moving to a different state can impact your life in a totally different way, a unique and special way that you would have never thought of. You would have never even imagined that you would have such an honor, such a privilege, such a blessing to meet and get to know some of the greatest, sweetest people that God has put on this great earth of his. You may not be so sure that you are worthy enough to be in their presence or even be their friend, but you do not ask questions. You just feel very lucky that you do not even ask why. You just suck it up and accept it; you know and feel that you are very blessed, and you will tell God, Thank you.
You know that each and every one has their own stories in their life, has dealt with their own pain; they have their own problems that can be just as great or as bad as yours. And they are human beings too. They put their pants on one leg at a time, just like you do. No one is better or worse than you are. You do not know who you could meet in the state that you choose to live in or even wind up living in by default. Sometimes coming to live someplace is really, truly a blessing to you. You get the chance to be in the presence of the most beautiful people who live in the same area. People with hearts of gold. Sometimes you wind up in a place that you have never imagined being in, and the state that you so happened to pop up in (like toast when it is ready, popping up out of the toaster when you really do not expect it to), the one state that you sure are glad to just so happened to come in and live in, would turn out to be your forever home.
I have been in Texas for about five years, and I have met some of the greatest people. I would have never imagined that my life would be changed for the better. Never in a million years would I have dreamed that God would put these people in my path to make a huge difference in my life in so many different ways. Sometimes God lets you meet people in unfamiliar but unique ways. When he does, it makes you sit down and wonder how he is doing it because you can live in a place for years and pass by places on a day-to-day basis, not even knowing that someone who will change your life in the future lives there.
God works in unique ways. This tells you that God is really, truly thinking about you and is looking out for you. God operates in ways that changes your life for the better. He has changed mine in ways I never knew to ever be possible. But it has.
You might think that you know so much about life or know how life is, but, in fact, you truly do not. There is more to learn about life than you know. God, our Heavenly Father, has so much in store for us that he seems to surprise each and every one of us. These surprises could teach me things about life that I do not yet know. I have done things and made choices that I would come to regret, but I know now that you can’t sit around thinking about all the bad decisions that you have made in your life. If you did that, you would really drive yourself crazy. Crazy enough that you would feel like you need to be locked up in a mental hospital because you are sitting around thinking about all your mistakes. All you or anyone can ever do to make themselves feel so blessed and very happy would be to move on and look forward to your future and stop thinking of all your mistakes. If you do, life would pass you by before you know it. Then and only then will you wake up and wonder what you did that made you miss out on all the good things and all your many miracles that God has given you in your life. So I am sitting here now, thanking the good Lord up above because he has blessed me with so many miracles in my life. And it took a group of wonderful people to teach me that. They also taught me things about life that I never thought I could learn. Things that you can’t learn while sitting in a class room. You learn about life by getting out there and meeting some really smart, awesome, terrific, magnificent people that God has put out there for you. He just does not put them in front of you all at one time. He spreads them out for you, and he puts them in your life at the time when he thinks you are ready for them to come into your life. You learn about life when God is ready for you to learn. He is also teaching you about him at the same time you are learning about life. Do not be such in a huge rush to learn about life because life will pass you by before you know it. Do not be in such a hurry to grow up so fast because if you take your time to grow up, it means that you are taking your time to learn about life, to learn about God himself. Be patient because God has a plan for you. He does things at his time, not your time, to learn about life and about him. Life really is about learning about God, how he wants you to live your life, how he has a purpose for you as you are live out your life on this earth that he has created for you. But along the way, as you are learning about life and about him (your Heavenly Father, your maker), he puts the right people at the right time in your life. Then and only then you will finally wake up and realize that he has really, truly blessed you in so many ways that you could not really understand how or why he would do it. But all you can do is to get down on your knees and give him all the thanks for all that he has given you. For the rest of your life that you are here on this earth that he created for us, continue to give him all the thanks and all the praise that he deserves. He will surely bless you with all his glory.
Take life one day at time because time does not slow down for any man or woman. If you blink too fast, you will miss all of God’s great and beautiful creations. Life can be so amazing; just waking up each and every morning of each and every day is amazing. We need to stop living our lives in regret of what we have done in the past. We can never go back to our past and change what we did wrong. We can only learn from our past and all the mistakes that we have done. We will succeed in life, but sometimes we also fail. God will be right there to pick you up and dust you off when you do. He will always forgive you no matter what. God is our protector and our savior. He will always carry us on his wings. He loves us no matter what.
There is a saying I remember reading. Humans are like elephants. We will forgive the people that have done us wrong, hurt us, abuse us, mistreat us, talk bad about us, treat us wrong, drag our names into the ground, stab us in the back, talk bad about us behind our backs, give us a bad name, or talk dirt about us, we may forgive them, but we will never ever forget what they have done to us.
In other words, we may forgive, but we will never forget. But we need to know this: God will always forgive us no matter what because he is a very loving and forgiving God. I think and I feel that God would really want us to be like that. So now I want to give my Heavenly Father all the many, many thanks for all the wonderful things that he has done for me. He did not have to do that, but he did. And I am truly grateful for him to do that for me.
Here is the list of my many, many miracles. The number 1 of my miracles would be God, my mom, my dad, my baby sister, my two nieces, my nephew, Glena, Kenneth, Daniel, HL, Andy, Liz, Neal, Carla, Marcus, LuLu, Jennifer, Rusty, Ella, Ricardo, Paul, Candace, Mary, Alissa, Emily, Hannah, John, Alissa, Ana, Kathy, Jena, RaKel, JoRaye, Dr. White (my back doctor), Haley, Dawn, Katrina, Parker, Ashley, Rhonda, Kellie, Dessirie, Connie, Carly, Katrina, Whitney, Shelly, Rachel, Hannah, Alissa, Candace, and the Backs.
There are other people I am thankful for, but whose names I do not know or unsure how to correctly spell (I really do not want misspell their names): children, other members of the BCS Deaf Church, other deaf and hard-of-hearing people who live in Bryan and College Station, Texas, and each and every interpreter who lives in Bryan and College Station.
When you have lived in so many states and moved around as much as I have, you can feel so depressed about life. You can sit in your own self-pity. At some point, you just need to wake up. Stand up, open your eyes, go outside, and just look around you. You can see what God has created in his own unique way. What he has created for us is beautiful. God must really think you are something really special because created all these beautiful things that he put on this earth for you. God loves you so much, he gave his one and only son for you. The day I found out that there was other deaf and hard of hearing in Bryan-College Station, I got up in the middle of my bedroom, dropped everything that I was doing, and I signed to good Lord up above. I told him this: Thank you God for blessing me with the knowledge of a deaf church in Bryan-College Station. Lord, you did not have to do it, but you thought I was worthy enough to know that. You love me enough to let me know. God, you blessed me with all of the world’s greatest interpreters that Bryan-College Station has to offer. I am going to be forever thanking you for the gifts that you have provided for me. I prayed so hard to you each and every day of my life, that you bless me with the best interpreters, that I meet more deaf or hard-of-hearing people, that I find a deaf church in Bryan-College Station. And God, you did. You did just
