Introduction

The book in your hands is a welcome greeting to a life without boundaries. The invitation won’t expire, so you can enter the moment you decide to walk up the aisle. The pages contain this man’s desire for a life I only dreamed of, and my hope came true when I cried out to the God of heaven and earth.

The stories I share are mine alone and refer to the people in the stories as family, friends, and individuals that added to my life. Every one of these individuals was a link to the details of a life that changed me forever. The love and prayers of family members kept me, the long-time good friends were gone, and some of the individuals didn’t understand God’s plan for my life, and neither did I until that unforgettable night. Unpleasant and fearful as it was, I still thank God for showing me the consequences of sin and a life without Him. His love and mercy gave me a second chance at life, and I wish to share with many the compassion shown to me in these writings of a man redeemed by a loving God.

I invite you to take a walk with me through the pages and hear what this man has seen, heard, and experienced before and after God showed His power in my life. This is not a story of perfection; it’s a story of redemption and continued renewing of my heart and mind.

I have chosen not to remain silent about what God says in His Word. It’s that important because I have witnessed the final outcome of a life without believing in God. Many of the pages were filled with tears knowing some will not take God’s calling seriously, so I plead with you don’t ignore God’s calling in your own life. When you decide to invite God into your life, you won’t be alone and don’t be afraid to speak what’s in your heart because He hears you.

I have become God’s fisherman and use different approaches to reach as many as possible. This journey is a process and will challenge your every being, yet it’s the most rewarding experience knowing you will have eternal life. So please, secure your place in the Book of Life (Revelation 20:15).

Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God (John 3:1–5, NKJV).

A memory that remains is when I heard my mother crying and yelling while looking in the crib where my little brother was lying. I remember Mom sending me to call a man down the street and get him, and running, I did. The last thing I remember about that episode in my childhood was Mom holding my hand at the burial.
