This second book is a continuation of spiritual thoughts that form my beliefs and experiences about life and my belief in our Heavenly Father. It also includes a story that was told to me by my Father who shares my beliefs ,thoughts and ideas. As with my first book it is my hope that it may help anyone who finds themselves in a spiritual crossroad. The path of faith I belief has become obscure and confusing. It is my belief in something greater than myself who is pure and has never ending love for me that, gives me not only the energy ,but the will and strength to proceed through the rough and dark times that lie ahead.

Eddie Salas

Eddie Salas was born in southwest Texas in 1970. In his youth Eddie and his family would spend much of their summers camping out in The Lincoln National Forest. He remembers one night in particular that was a very stormy and scary night as lightning flashes filled the sky and created dark silhouettes of the tall pine trees. That night became the inspiration for this book. Eddie now lives in Southern California with his wife and two sons. He has been a background actor in motion pictures in his spare time ,and he also enjoys oil painting and writing books. This is Eddie Salas’s third published book ,but it is his first work of fiction. He continues to work on a fourth and fifth book due out in the not too distant future both of which will be fiction as well.

A Story From My Father

There were five very good friends, like the rest of us they all worked very hard for a living. Each one had a different background, but they all believed in God. Their level of faith varied, and they all faced problems like we all do. Happy in life they all went about with their lives and families. They all read all the news about how things were changing, and how the supposed near end of time was coming for all of us. Four of them went to church regularly, and gave their offerings to the church. The last one used to pray at home. His offerings were to people who needed help outside the church. He got criticized a lot, and he got told that his help should be to the church, but he did it his way.

As the years passed, they all got older but their ways were always the same. One day one of them died and the other four went to his funeral. Another year passed and one of them hit the lottery. All of a sudden he was very rich. He separated from the other three. The other three friends began discussing why they didn’t have any luck. One said, I pray to God to help me, yet he ignores me. The second said, "I don’t ask for God’s help because he doesn’t help
