In our lives there are many forces that work for and against us. Sometimes things seem to be out of control. We start to dought ourselves, and fear starts to grip our minds. Many different and negative thoughts begin to fill our minds. Before long we start to get sick with depression and our well being begins to deterioate. We begin to lose hope and our faith. Even though hard times seem to last a long time, those are the times when our faith and self evaluation should to come into focus, and know that nothing will last forever. As well all know life is short, and before long everything will come to pass.

Eddie Salas

Eddie Salas was born in southwest Texas in 1970. In his youth Eddie and his family would spend much of their summers camping out in The Lincoln National Forest. He remembers one night in particular that was a very stormy and scary night as lightning flashes filled the sky and created dark silhouettes of the tall pine trees. That night became the inspiration for this book. Eddie now lives in Southern California with his wife and two sons. He has been a background actor in motion pictures in his spare time ,and he also enjoys oil painting and writing books. This is Eddie Salas’s third published book ,but it is his first work of fiction. He continues to work on a fourth and fifth book due out in the not too distant future both of which will be fiction as well.

A Grandparent’s Love

Introduction

My book began as a simple collection of spiritual and religious thoughts during some of the best and worst times in my life. They reinforce my belief in our Heavenly Father and his true kind and loving spirit. Originally this was to be a small book that was to be written for family and friends, but as more people read these thoughts, they would suggest that I publish a small book for all to read. This is a collection of these thoughts. My hope is that they might help someone who perhaps finds them self at a spiritual crossroads in life and that these thoughts might give them some sense of direction as they have done for me.
