About this ebook

This Poetry Anthology is packed with different types of simple but very
sweet Poems which are not categorized and only follows the sequence
of dates on which they were written. Once the reader puts the eyes
on this book he or she will want to read more and will never want to stop
reading (warning this book is addictive). The aim of this book is to try to
entertain, inspire and motivate the reader in a simple way, but most of all, it
is an attempt to change the world with simple but very influential messages of
love, peace, harmony, forgiveness and tolerance and to remind the World about
the Creator of all things. Although some of the works in this book are fictional, others are a record of precisely what transpired; this book contains titles such as: Thanks to God Almighty; The 16th of September 1997; The Bird; The Year 2000; Not White, fat or Tall; God is Everything and many more poems with pictures, thanks, enjoy, cheers!

    Preface

    I dedicate this Poetry Book to my youngest son; Mankgwadi Kamogelo Brown Mojapelo who has been in and out of hospital from a very tender age and to my whole family. I want to thank all the relatives and friends and to all the members of our Congregation for the greatest love and unforgettable support they showed and gave us by then. I would also like to think about all the families that have experienced the same situations as ours and at the same time not forgetting all the families that have experienced even the worst situations about their loved ones. I say to all of them that the Good Lord our God knows all the troubles we are going through and He is indeed our Provider.

    Let me also take this opportunity to pass my gratitude to all those who contributed in one way or the other for making this little book a big success; my family for understanding and for supporting me throughout the process of writing this book and giving me enough time to concentrate on the book whenever I had to. I won’t forget all the relatives and friends and to everybody at Xlibris Publishers, to all of you I say thank you so much for being so inspirational an for believing in me as this is my very first book. Keep up the good work. And most of all the last but not the least, how can I forget the Almighty Father for everything and for being my guide all the way, I’m proud of You because I am absolutely nothing without You my Lord.

    Prior to the events which led to the hospitalisation of my son in 2015, before the publication of this book, I named this book OH YES I AM THE MIRROR I decided to change the name to OH MY BELOVED SON after the incident. I also decided to change the name of Poem no.8 fromWHAT AM I? to become "THE MIRROR. I wrote most of these poems between 1996 and 1998 and just a few of them between 2015 and 2016.

    (Regarding the Images, I would like to thank Xlibris, the Publisher for coming up with that beautiful Front Cover Design and for designing the whole Book, the longest distance between us did not prevent us from achieving our mission, I am grateful to our Parish Priest for the permission to take some images from our Church even though I used only one image, and I thank another fellow Christian for agreeing to take a picture of myself, and most of the images were taken by me personally.)

    Thanks To God Almighty

    Thanks God, for the whole universe,

    Thanks God, for the life we live;

    Thanks God, for the air we breathe

    Thanks God, for the food we eat,

    Thanks God, for the happiness You give us.

    Give thanks to God for the sun that shines during the day,

    Give thanks to God for the moon and the stars that are all bright at night;

    Give thanks to God for all comets and the shooting stars that make star gazing even more beautiful.

    Give thanks to God for the falling rain

    and for all the changing seasons,

    Give thanks to God for His mercy He shows us.

    Thanks God, for all the power and wisdom,

    Thanks God, for all the Christmas Days that have passed;

    And for all the coming New Years.

    Thanks God, for all Your shelter and Your guidance,

    Thanks God, indeed, for everything.

    To Suffer

    Suffering was not the end of life from the beginning of life,

    Suffering is not the end of life nowadays;

    Suffering will not be the end of life in the future.

    Suffering cannot be the beginning of the end of life,

    Suffering must not be the beginning of the end of life;

    Suffering should not be the beginning of the end of life.

    Suffering has never been the end of life,

    Suffering is never the end of life;

    Suffering will never be the end of life.

    Suffering was the beginning of wisdom,

    Suffering is now the beginning of wisdom;

    Suffering will forever be the beginning of wisdom.

    Suffering was the beginning of being very careful,

    Suffering is the beginning of being very wise;

    Suffering will but most of all be the beginning of everything.

    What Is Life?

    Life is like a turning wheel,

    Oh; just like a wheel turning!

    Sometimes it is so great,

    But sometimes it is very disappointing.

    Are we born to suffer?

    It’s like a happy sun in the morning,

    Oh; like a smiling moon and the bright stars at night!

    Just as the sun wakes up,

    It must also go to bed.

    D’ you remember the bright flowers and green grasses in spring and in summer?

    But what will they be like in winter?

    Oh! What will happen to them in winter?

    Don’t they all wish to chase the winter away?

    Are these what life is all about?

    Come Out My Love (By A Man)

    How can I find you my love?

    Where are you hidden my darling?

    Why can’t I find you for I know that you do exist?

    I am looking and searching for the right person.

    Where are you, mother of my children to be?

    Am I going to marry you,If not you, who am I going to marry?

    How should I look for you?

    Where should I look for you?

    And why should I search for you?

    Am I looking for you in the aeroplanes whilst you are in a ship?

    Or, am I searching for you in the buses whilst you are in a train.

    How can
