The Healer Of Them All - Dawn Alexis Anderson
P R E F A C E
The purpose of this book is to bring about healing to all those who have been abused. It could be physical, sexual, verbal or emotional abuse - it doesn't matter because God is the Healer of them all. This book is comprised of true events that happened in my life. I did not write this book to slander or bash anyone; its sole purpose is to bring forth the healing of God into the lives of His people. I am not angry nor am I bitter towards those that the enemy used to abuse me within the course of my life. I understand that it was a spirit sent to try to destroy me, and a spirit has to have a vessel to work through. In the pages of this book you will read truthful events and I will not apologize, for telling the truth because we understand that it is the knowing of the truth that makes us free (John 8:32). Names mentioned in this book have been changed for legality purposes. I am only revealing what the enemy (Satan) tried to use to destroy me to liberate others that may be going through these tragic ordeals. I would like to thank all of those the enemy used because the destructive devices of abuse did not prevail however it caused me to grow in power and soundness.
May this book change your life – and bring you into such a freedom.
DEDICATION
Ifirst want to thank the Lord for loving me so perfectly and making a way of escape so many times when my decisions placed me in situations that were abusive. Thank you Father. I thank and appreciate my Lord Jesus for all that He has done in my life. You are definitely a Healer. When there was nothing and I had nothing - you were there and still loved me. You never threw me away or left me. I love you Lord! Thank You for protecting me even when I didn't know it. Thank You for loving me so perfectly and showing me what real love is so that I can be made whole. Thank You for being ALL that I need. You are absolutely EVERYTHING to me! I am so in love with you. Thank You for never abandoning me or abusing me. Thank You for cleansing me and purifying me. I am totally yours forever.
I also want to thank some key people in my life that facilitated the growth and healing necessary to live!
My Bishop - I appreciate who you are and what you have taught me throughout these years. Thank you for encouraging me and inspiring me to finish and assisting me in penning this book. It opened up the door for God to continue to heal and for me to grow. Thank you for loving me in God and allowing God to use you to give me all that I require to grow and live! Thank you for the correction and all the times I didn’t know why you did or said what you did! I know that everything that you do and say is purposeful. Also, I appreciate the example you are before me - a man of integrity, character and the love of God. People always tend to see the prophetic, sound teaching, wisdom and articulation
that flows out of you from God but the real power is in your love walk that you demonstrate every day. God used you to save my life... thank you for that!!! Thank you for not giving up on me when everyone else did.
You have taught me to love me and become aware of whom I really am in Christ. Keep challenging the Body to grow past their place of comfort and to walk in truth with power so that His bride will be ready to receive Him when He comes.
TO MY SPECIAL SOMEONE (My True Hearts Desire) –".....I found him whom my soul loveth, I held him, and would not let him go..." *Song of Solomon 3:4* I love you!
Martha Toliver (Mommy) – Thank you for being my mother and loving me when others turned their back on me. I miss our talks and deviling.
Thank you for being an example to me spiritually and naturally. I love you Mommy.
And last but certainly not least...
Kevin, Felicia, Danielle and Lavelle, Jr. (written 2004) - the best and most blessed children in the world! I left you for last to mention because honestly I think I would have given up if it wasn't for you all.
There were times Mommy would break and you all would rise up and minister right back to me. I remember the times when we had absolutely nothing and you wouldn't know it by looking at the way you all were
acting. I agree with something that you all told me at one time or another
- as long as we are together that is all that matters. I know Mommy has made some bad decisions in relationships that have harmed all of us and you all forgave me. You looked at me as if I was the most wonderful person alive. You made me grow. I endeavor to never allow abuse or harm to come to our house again! Now that the Lord has healed us we can continue to walk in the blessings of God. There are so many words I want to share with you and things that I wanted so bad to give you but in time it will all be done.
Remember the scripture we learned throughout all of our turmoil
- Ye are of God little children, and have overcome them because greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world (I John 4:4) - always remember that! You all are such a blessing; I don't know what I could have done to deserve such talented, anointed, blessed, intelligent children. I love you with everything in me. Kevin - you are a trooper. Always remember who you are and don't let the world dictate that. You are strong but get the knowledge and wisdom you need to live son. I love you and always remember that. Don't ever let the devil lie to you and say otherwise. You are my son and a gift from God to me. I always wanted you and loved you. Remember that always. Felicia (little me) - you have endured so much in your young life. I am so sorry people have hurt you the way that they hurt your Mommy. The things that have happened to you do not dictate who you are. You are a joy to be around. Keep smiling. You are so beautiful, please see your worth. Your price is far above rubies. I
