It’s worth noting that self-esteem and confidence are often used interchangeably, but they are not the same thing. Confidence is having a healthy sense of self-assurance, but self-esteem goes deeper. Self-esteem is not merely how we feel about ourselves. More specifically, self-esteem is the mental estimation process by which we come to think and feel about ourselves. Think of self-esteem as the psychological conclusion that we make at the soul level regarding our: lovability, adequacy, value, worthiness and capacity based on our deeply ingrained beliefs about ourselves that we hold as true. This means that lifelong self-esteem cannot happen apart from knowing who we are in God.  

Who Do You Think You Are?

If you were asked to describe yourself starting with the words, I AM... What would you say? Would you say something along the lines of... I Am Smart! I Am Gifted! I Am Blessed! I Am Powerful!
