A Prayer for You . . .

God, bless me as I hold this book in my hands, for it is the witness of a mother perhaps like me who longed for peace after losing her child. Forgive me of my sins. You know my pain. Please wrap your arms around me and allow me to feel the warmth and security of your love and protection. Give me the strength and confidence to know you really do have the answers to my questions. I miss my baby so much, and I need peace. I want to let go, but I don’t feel I have a reason to, nor do I know how. Help me today to see revelations I have not been able to see thus far. Help me to open my heart so I will receive the answers with courage, comfort, and joy.

Foreword

There is Another Life is one of the most profound little books I have ever read. It has completely changed my perspective on the five letter word grief!

Before one word was penned, I sat with Mattie and heard the recollection of personal encounters relative to her son’s death. My jaw dropped! I marveled at the amazing prophecies God allowed her to see and her inability to find the words to explain it all!

We cried together when she discovered all she needed was the courage to tell the truths as they were revealed to her. God would do the explaining. The first few chapters prove the strength it took for Mattie to finally reveal the magnitude of grief that held her captive. Then she slowly opens the floodgates to describe her journey to freedom.

Grief is as much a part of death as death is of life we can’t escape it. By unselfishly laying her battles with the big G on the line, Mattie has given us real insight as to how we can conquer it. Hold on to your seat because every episode is truly miraculous!
