About this ebook
Sione Poilangi Paea, in his first book, presents his inspirational life story. This remarkable individual shows that anyone can overcome their lot in life and become successful. Sione was born in Tonga, into extreme poverty. His life was one of despair and tarnished dreams. His mother, a Christian, took him to church on Sundays where his faith in God gave him hope for and belief he could have a better life. When he was thirteen, Siones family uprooted and relocated in New Zealand. Later, his family later turned their backs on him and threw him out on the streets. He left home determined to find a better life.
Sione found work as a custodian while completing a BSC (Hon) business management degree. His hard work and determination to succeed allowed him to graduate quickly from cleaning, right up to his current position as a managing director and an owner of multiple businesses. Not satisfied with simply being an executive, Mr. Paea is also a budding fitness model who has his own line of fitness apparel in the works. He is also planning a construction materials business servicing the South Pacific. Most impressive is the fact he has accomplished all of these achievements at the tender age of twenty-one.
This is an uplifting tale of victory over hardship. It is a motivational dynamo that inspires the reader to want to better themselves. From harrowing beginnings, the story soars to towering heights. One cant help but pull for Mr. Paea. This is an all-around feel-good story that is a must read for anyone who loves an underdog story.

Afterword
I dedicate this book to my little princess, Lupe-Rose Veli Paea. I am forever grateful to my daughter for giving me the motivation and dedication that helped me complete this book. May success and prosperity be with you in every step of your life’s journey. Always know that Daddy will forever love you. Daddy has laid out the path; it’s up to you to make the choice. Regardless, you will forever be my sunshine.
I would also like to dedicate this book to my brother, Semisi Paea. I will always be there for you, my brother, and I wish you all the best in your career and your future. We’ve been through a lot, but let’s not dwell in the past. Your future is shining brightly. Keep the faith and finish this race. There’s a reward for you. No matter what, regardless of where, I will always be with you to support you in every step of the way.
To Asher and Judah Apikotoa, I hope you will both be inspired by my story. Keep up all the good work.
To all my friends and family, thank you for helping me better understand myself so that I can present an unbiased and honest perspective to my readers. I am in debt to my family and friends who have given me the love and time needed to finish this book.
PREFACE
In 2014, I started working at a youth centre in Rotorua, New Zealand. During my time working there, I witnessed young lads who were in all sorts of trouble. I don’t know if it was empathy or a calling, but every time I walked out of my office, I knew I had to work with these youths. Some of the kids had problems at home, some were craving love, and some needed serious intervention as they were already becoming recidivists. These children needed to be taught there were better options in life to the few they had experienced. They had been deprived the opportunity to experience the simple nature and beauty of life. Having started my path down a similar road, I felt obliged to share the lessons that had transformed me and given me the ability to change. My feeling is that we have a moral obligation to pass on what we have learned, to pay it forward and give back the gifts we have been blessed with. Writing this book is my foray into
