A Day in the Life of a Parrot
Sammy parrot was moody on the morning he awake,
he decided it was necessary for him to take
his flight for the morning but he would first,
say he was thankful to Mother Earth.
After all was said and all was done,
he decided it was time to have some fun.
He thought he would sing and jump for a while
with the family’s spunky eight year old child.
On this day another child appeared as a stranger,
Sammy parrot felt like his life was in danger.
The stranger decided to give Sammy a hit
on his head and then Sammy on his finger he bit.
Sammy thought I am not one of those old stuffed
toys,
I am a real bird, as he began to make noise.
and surely as the cage was opened he would fly,
out of the window and to the friendly skies.
He knew the stranger just had to learn,
how to treat a parrot before he returned.
You couldn’t throw me or drop me or hold me
upside down,
he needed to make a quick turn around.
Then after that mistreatment he would offer me
food,
and think if I refused that I am being rude.
Let me explain it to you and he will set the stage,
of how to treat a parrot in a cage these days.
First, it’s alright to have a very short talk,
then to let him have a short, little walk.
It would be kind to of him a treat,
some of your words he maybe able to repeat.
Don’t reign it now by trying to be mean,
instead tell him how well his cage has been
cleaned.
If the parrot stops talking just grin and bare it,
because this is just one day in the life of a parrot.
Oh, if I could turn that stranger into a carrot,
oh yes, this is just one day in the life of this parrot.
A Good Man
A good man is one who will understand,
when you couldn’t get home on time but
you got there as fast as you can.
A good man is one who would give you
a hand,
when you were so sick you could hardly
stand.
A good man is one who looks at your
heart,
as a factor of his choice-making of a
mate he will never depart.
A good man is one who wants the best,
not only for himself but for your
happiness.
A good man will not only be there to
protect you,
he’ll pray for you and he’ll always
respect you.
A good man is what’s on every girls’
list,
whether they deserved him or whether
he should give them the slip.
Don’t let them discourage you or say
you’re not grand,
because every good woman deserves a
good man.
A New Day
There is newness in the air and I can see everywhere
that it’s a new day.
After I leap from my bed and take a look at you my
way, it’s a new day.
While putting on my clothes, if just for
