WHERE TO BEGIN
Ididn’t know how I was going to start this. I didn’t even know if I would ever finish this book. But I told myself this is something I had to do. I owed it to myself to do this. I hope if you are reading this that this can help change your life in some way for the better. Well in order for me to start this off right I should tell you who I used to be. That was alter ego. He was a representative. A person I wanted everyone to see. I once was that guy. His name was Xavier. We will call him X
for short. The one thing I have always admired about him was his fearlessness. I mean this guy would look danger right in the face and have nerves of steel with a determination and almost rebellious defiance as if to say that the opposition was not going to break him, defeat him or deter him. I looked up to that guy and honestly I felt I grew a lot into who I was supposed to be all these years but just never discovered it because of his experiences. We never had a conversation, but I knew that he respected me. Kind of like one of those unspoken guy code type things. But it was mutual. It was mutual. He was the person I saw when I looked in the mirror. He was my alter ego. But he was not who I was but he was the person everyone saw. It wasn’t until I found out who I truly was that I actually start to live. It all started with a moment of reflection.
As I look back over my life, and I reminisce over all my experiences, I am reminded of what my grandmother told me a few years back. She said Cedric you have a story to tell and if you keep on living your story will write itself
. When I first heard her say that I didn’t pay too much attention to it because how can someone like me have anything to give to the world. I brushed it off not knowing how prophetic her word would be in my life. I wish I
