About this ebook
Beverley Piper Leon
Beverley found that others saw fit to seek her out as a shoulder on which to cry, or as a venting station. From listening to them she has come to realize that the majority of human beings share similar problems in this life. With some of her own experiences and the knowledge she gained from her teacher and spiritual life couch, Beverley has decided to give back to society by sharing what she has learnt. In her writings she has seen fit to open our eyes to life’s challenges in love affairs, cultural problems, discrimination, spirituality, politics, diet challenges and over all self-empowerment. Her aim is to awaken our awareness; to have us look within to find who we truly are, to open our eyes to the goings on in our society, and to make positive life changes so that we can live more fulfilled and happier lives.

DEDICATION
I dedicate this book to one who taught me the importance of self-knowledge. One who taught me that the power lies within me where the all mighty force resides.
To Wayne Grice, who was my teacher, my mentor, my friend and the beacon of light that brightened my path and showed me the way. Before making his transition from this plane, he passed the light to us his students so that we may continue to find our way and light the path for others.
Brother Wayne as we affectionately called him was instrumental in teaching me the difference between ‘ego tripping’ and self confidence. ‘EGO’ he said, is short for Edging God Out
. It prevents you from being the best that you were created to be. He taught me that I am not an accident. I am special and was put here for a reason, that I need to find my purpose and live it. Read the book of who you are,
he would say. Be proud of yourself and have confidence in your God given powers.
Some of these poems were written before he made his transition. He admired them, encouraged my efforts and boosted my confidence. He expressed to me his wish to see my writings in book form. Although physically he is not here to see his wish come through, I know he is witnessing it in spirit. I thank Brother Wayne for being there and for allowing the creator to use him to awaken me, to open my inner eye.
I am a work in progress and I hope that my continued growth and the completion of this book will make his spirit proud.
