phenomenal women

Zan Rowe

Broadcaster, ABC national music correspondent and podcast host

I’ve been lucky to have many great women as mentors in my life, offering advice, support and drive as I navigated the media landscape. Whether it was former Triple J broadcaster Tracee Hutchison encouraging me in my early days in community radio at 3RRR FM, or ABC Head of Music Meagan Loader saying “yes” to every idea I wanted to try, having that belief and support was invaluable as I found my feet. Even though she’s only a few years older than me, Myf Warhurst is also a constant source of strength. As a friend who understands so much of what I do day to day, her candid advice and kindness keeps me level-headed whenever I feel overwhelmed. She’s the best. With every conversation I have with these giants of radio, I learn how to share stories, find connection and be authentic in all I do.

AJ Clementine

LGBTQIA+ advocate and model

The person who supported and was influential to me is my ate (aunty) Zeny. She has always reminded me to stick with my dreams and to have faith in myself. She provided me with strength in the times I needed it most and also predicted my modelling career. I’ll always have so much admiration and love for her.
