Home is…

Home is a place to reset. I’m fortunate to live close to the water, so I have a lot of memories sitting and watching the waves lap against the shore. It’s a good place to think. I attend university in Canberra, so every time I return to my family during the holidays it gives me an opportunity to contrast just how much has changed since I left. Physically, it’s the same — the same neighbourhood, shops, houses and leafy trees. But I feel like I grow so much as a person each year. Only a few years ago I walked those same streets as a high school graduate, trying to figure out my purpose. I never expected to do the work that I do now and love.
