When I wrote my first book Something for Your Journey I was completely focused on sharing all I had learned through the Bible and how it changed my life. All I wanted at the time was for those who were expecting changes in their life through faith to know was that their faith was the key and that God was absolutely with them. No matter what it seemed to look like. It has proven to be a great tool in spiritual growth and I love the feedback I have received from it.

Hear Me Write is a compilation of moments in time. Moments that made a difference in my life or in the life of another. I have enjoyed looking back while putting this book together. I have also enjoyed the reminder of how very beautiful life can be as we grow and overcome the obstacles in our way. Most importantly I have enjoyed the view from my book of endless possibilities that lie ahead. I am truly proud to present to you my second book of poetry Hear Me Write.

INTRODUCTION

Very often we want so desperately to convey to our loved ones or perhaps a stranger our true feelings and we do this by exposing our thoughts through our words or our deeds. Through the years I have come to realize that at times when we speak our words get translated by the emotions of the one receiving and perhaps their preconceived notions can harden their hearts to our true intentions.

I am one who has often been misunderstood by the misinterpretation of what I have said or the motives for which I bring forth these feelings. In trying to express myself I have often turned to my writing to expose my truth or the depth in which I feel and my need to be understood. I have found that when I write to some people I very often get no response but I also realize that it leaves very little room for misunderstanding me. However, at times it can leave me void of clarity on what people feel about what I have said however, I find gratification in believing I have been heard right.

This collection of work represents some of these times. Here in these pages I also expose times when I myself wanted to see the depth of what I was feeling. Writing during these times has aided in my growth and acceptance of things I have faced in life. My desire for the reader is that I can touch some part of their inner being that these works aid them in their growth and acceptance in the things they face as well. I also want to make the receiver smile, feel love and see that they are not alone in some of the matters they face in life. It is my pleasure that now you too can hear me write. Enjoy!
