    INTRODUCTION

    For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ,

    for it is the power of God unto salvation for everyone

    who believes, for the Jew first and Also to the Greek,

    for in it is the righteousness of God revealed From faith to faith;

    As it is written, the just shall live by faith.

    Romans 1:16-27

    The nature of Faith is constant confidence, trust, reliance, as to the reality of God’s existence and feelings of security in His ability to provide assistance during times of need. There must be a firm belief that God [YHVH-Heb] is who He says He is, and that, it was He in Genesis who shaped, formed and transformed the world from its chaotic condition to that of a beautiful cosmos. Faith is a virtue with the competency of molding our character in a manner pleasing to the Almighty. The mystery of Faith is a clear conscience… of which, the main ingredient involves our relationship with an invisible God [Yahweh].

    Though His Spirit is concealed from the natural eye, the manifestation of His essence can be experienced, felt, and observed throughout the universe… listen, hear the cries of a new born baby which lets you know there is a God somewhere! Visit your favorite Department Store, and pass through its perfume department laced with the magnificent aromas captured from the essence of a flower; or taste the honey, oh so sweet, from the honeybee… The wind is invisible, however, we can feel and see the devastation of its robust power capable of shattering buildings, move stationary objects and so forth. In fact, the earth is filled with the glory of the Lord and all of the earth pays homage to Him in specific ways.

    Mankind’s sins, degradations, disobedience in giving tithes and offerings, in the Old Testament, caused God to send prophets to minister to the house of Israel: that He would gather them back to Himself, as a hen gathering its chicks together . . . But Israel was stubborn and disobedient. Israel was considered as being a backslidden Nation, which caused Him humiliation from committing adultery with lesser pagan gods… Baal, Asteroth, and other gods who had eyes that could not see—ears but couldn’t hear. Again God regretted having created mankind. After the human race had been disconnected from Him for 400-years. He remembered His promise to Abraham, and looked down on the earth with loving-kindness, a forgiving heart, and provided a way of escape… In that; while we were yet sinners, thorough His incarnated Son [Yeshuah Hamisha], Christ Jesus, He reconciled us back to Himself—all who were willing to accept His Son as their Savior… to deliver us from the law of sin and death. That is love!

    In Jeremiah 29:11, God lets us know, "He will never leave or forsake His people; His plans are to prosper and, not to harm them." Often we don’t realize how merciful God is until much later after we have gone through difficult times. The problems for most of us, is that we are too busy to listen to the Lord. We were created as intelligent free-willed beings, with the ability to choose or refuse: to build, create, or tear-down. It is our inherited nature from the Father [planted in Adam’s spirit]. The desire of putting things or situations back in working condition, is acceptable if we know how. There are, however, occasions when the situations can be fixed by the Master-Builder-only. For that reason, we are to understand when it is permissible, in contrast, with our need to allow wisdom and the unction of the Holy Spirit to lead and guide us in the right direction. This will significantly minimize our blaming God for things of which He is not guilty.

    The persistent question today, among many are: Why does God allow suffering? It can be understandable when the unsaved ask the question because they are not familiar with Church History or the Bible. In many instances, they don’t understand the sinful nature of mankind’ draws the power of darkness, suffering and destruction. On the contrary, those of us who are faith-filled and Born-Again should not have a reason to ask that question… Even if we are between rocks and a hard place; weak or disobedient. We must always realize the wages of sin is death; and the wages are often higher than the sins. Even the founding fathers of America, were by no means perfect, embraced wisdom and insight: they maintained America should honor God as being the Head of our Country… In God We Trust. . . . Unfortunately today, many are trying to put Him as far away from America as possible…

    "O Lord, how long shall I cry, and thou wilt not hear! [even] cry out

    unto Thee of the violence, and thou wilt not save!"

    —Habakkuk 1:2

    The Bible states that, Jews-Jehovah’s chosen people, offers great insight—concerning the magnitude of their sins, paganism, and rebellion which opened the door for the Chaldeans and many other nations to invade their Country, killing a large number of men, and carrying a considerable number of people away from Jerusalem, [their homeland], and placing them in captivity. They were a rebellious people who were continually taken into captivity, which should serve as a blueprint to remind us not to allow history to repeat itself. Pastor Teabout often says: Only a fool tries the same foolish ideas, over and over again, expecting different results. Today, our Nation, has begun to suffer in various ways; causing many to cry out as Habakkuk… "Why, Lord, can’t you see the sins, can’t you see the violence and suffering in the land?"

    This should encourage us to remember that God in His infinite mercy, is longsuffering, and is continually extending to us the opportunity to rebuild some broken beaches we caused… We have allowed breaches to come into existence through broken relationships, greed, corruption, murder, hate, violence and other crimes. Yet He loves us in spite of… He says: [Chronicles 7:14], If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways… then will I hear from heaven and heal the land."

    Let us strive to view life realistically; when we encounter problems beyond our control, remember God has always desired the very best for each of us. However, how often do we fail to observe the prompting of the Holy Spirit because our schedules are too full of unimportant activities, and for some, they are too full of self to recognize the need to spend time in the Father’s presence. How well can a natural parent understand the concept when a child becomes a certain age, his’ or her’ life becomes full of activities that do not include spending as much time with their parents as in the past. Some parents adjust instantly by re-grouping and becoming more active, yet others become emotionally distraught from feelings of abandonment, after having been replaced by someone or something.

    Growing pains can be a difficult adjustment regardless of who is being affected by the change.

    Jones stated in Women’s devotional that, would it not be good if we could choose a period in our lives that was enjoyable and let time stand still? But we cannot, Ecc 3:11 and 14 tells us, he [Jehovah] has made every beautiful thing in its time, and everything God does is forever. . . . Personally, I have had to make many choices in life and endure a lot of changes… But each day, as I went to God’s Word, He had something just for me. Now go lead the people to the place I spoke of, and my angel will go before you [Exodus 32:34]. Yes, life is filled with changes and choices, but the right choice is Jesus Christ. He will take you through all the changes.

    When we discover positive ways to become busy: we could become a volunteer, acquire a hobby, a pet, or a part time job, I believe it would prove to be successful. I discovered while battling cancer, that the more I pondered over how my grandsons would survive—the less time I spent focusing on my condition. Even on occasions when I felt as if I could not endure the treatments any longer, my worries were not totally devoted to myself but also to my grandsons.

    The central theme of this book embraces Hebrews—Chapters 11, 12, and various Scriptures are cited throughout the Bible to provide a more comprehensive understanding of conquering faith. There is some debate concerning the writer of Hebrews, but it is ascribed to Apostle Paul by most Scholars as the writer. I for one, find the style of writing in Hebrews comparable to those of Romans, Corinthians and Ephesians, to name a few. Paul’s comprehensions of unwavering Faith, obedience, love and self-discipline is revealed through all of his letters to the Churches.

    And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God…

    —Romans 12:2

    For the sake of the gospel of Christ, Paul was inspired to endure hardness as a good soldier. On many occasions, he was imprisoned, stoned, flogged, beaten, and rejected. He endured hunger, thirst, nakedness, and was shipwrecked, yet, stood boldly before Kings, Magistrates, and Judges, proclaiming Christ as the resurrected Lord and Savior whom he encountered on the Road to Damascus with a force so powerful and compelling that he literally made a 360-degree turn in his life. As a result of this change, Paul diligently sought to teach sound doctrines and became one of Christ’s most zealous followers. Much of Paul’s works appeared to be devoted due to his persecutions of the early Church. He also embraced honor for God having chosen him in spite of wicked acts committed against the Churches of the first era. He considered the Christians’ as enemies of the Jews.

    Hopefully, Paul’s life’s commitment will impress upon us to work out our salvation in holiness and reverence to the Lord. Let us consider that our life is "a work in progress, as we try to attain God’s ultimate desire for us. Paul said: we should be pressing toward the mark." Unfortunately, many today refuse to make themselves accountable to God or man. I experience an awful feeling, when I see or hear of those in Christ using their calling to manipulate others with unscrupulous schemes. Indicating they are saved-but not delivered from the spirit of manipulation. Paul declared, his utmost desire was to be an honorable Preacher of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. Why? Because, through the gift of salvation, he obtained a greater insight to his unrighteousness, which he was incapable of being delivered from through his own power… , Only Jesus Christ could deliver him.

    Romans 8:2-3 "For the law of the Spirit in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God [did] by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh . . . Paul sought to teach sound doctrines. So, as we study his writings, we will discover a direct pattern: [Rom 8:3]

    1)   We are all in a race to obtain crowns:

       The Crown of Righteousness, Life, Rejoicing, Incorruptible, & Joy

    2)   The flesh is a mess, and is constantly waging war against the spirit;

    3)   We are one Body, so let us unite to avoid schisms or divisions;

    4)   We are to remain in Christ and refuse to fall from grace because of gossip or men or women with enticing words; and

    5)   Paul wrote, "the gospel of Jesus Christ and Him crucified is being preached to every creature under the heavens… they only need Preachers or Missionaries to offer confirmation of what had already been planted in their spirit.

    Although Paul taught sound doctrines of the gospel. However, he faced opposition from other Apostles, due to his past hostility toward the early Christians. Still today, there are many who are unable to forgive and forget after they discover something unpleasant about another. So it was in Paul’s day, his life as Saul caused much skepticism to exist after he began preaching the gospel. He confessed: he felt unworthy to stand among the other Apostles but his love for Christ enabled him to become one of the greatest Apostles to live. The power of faith is the building block of salvation, in that we possess no righteousness outside of God’s grace and mercy. As humans, we are sinful, and inconsistent in various areas of our lives. It is Christ and Christ alone—who died for the ungodly in order that we may live the abundant life and receive the righteousness of God.

    "God so loved the world that He Gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on Him [Christ] shall not perish but have everlasting life." Now that is Good News! That, in Christ we live and move and have our being. This book in many aspects is educational, in that the reader is not only drawn into various anecdotes, but also receive tips on the art of struggling successfully to survive during times of trials, sickness, tribulations, financial losses, abuse, and broken heart or spirit. The novel is based on a true story, of inner—spiritual, and physical struggles as a cancer survivor with determination to persevere against the overwhelming odds faced. There are those who teach: Faith makes everything easy, this is untrue… Faith didn’t make my cancer treatments unnecessary, but it did however, make it possible to survive. Pure Faith allows us to recognize that all things are working together—both good and bad: for our good… David said that it was good he was afflicted from time to time… I agree, and I do not believe he would have remained the apple of God’s eye: because he carried out some hideous acts of evils, including murder.

    Amazingly, David tapped into three of God’s eternal secrets: praise, confession, and repentance. While studying the life of David, we discover his willingness to confess, repent, pray and praise… which are virtues that honor the Lord. Furthermore, I was amazed to discover his not wanting anyone to deliver him except the Lord. When his followers sought to deliver him from his son, Absalom who tried to kill him for almost a year; he became angry and sorrowful, when his son was killed. Then, for almost 7-years Saul sought to kill him, hunting him as a wild animal, [in vain attempts to keep him from ascending the Throne]. David hid in cold caves and once Saul was so close to capturing him—God sent a spider to make a web-at the caves entrance, to give the impression of non-occupancy. Even then, he didn’t want anyone to deliver him; except the Lord… . Constantly, through the Psalms; he reminded us that, "all of his help comes from the Lord -who created the heavens and earth." Now, that’s a winning combination. Perhaps, David understood in many instances when we allow people to help us in some situations, it becomes a pitfall. Down through the ages, man has fallen into various traps due to favors, which were unreciprocated resulting in lost friendships and relationships.

    In Jeremiah 17:5, "God sternly warns against our placing dependency in man, and when we disobey and place our trust in mankind, God calls it a curse.

    The Lord desires that we place our trust in Him. As in Psalms 147:11 which tells us that, "the Lord is delighted when we place our trust in Him,"

    Placing trust in wicked people can escalate into bribes and other manipulative schemes that came into existence, because people tend to remember what they did for us much longer than our repaying them. I recall, many years ago, someone did me a favor and even after I repaid the debt, they continued to tell others that they had been of assistance. Often, what appears as innocent help comes with a price-tag. A tag that can cause us to compromise because we are grateful for having been helped, without realizing the person had the wrong motive in his heart. Gangs, pimps, drug dealers, and unfortunately some of the Lord’s servants are known for their manipulative schemes, designed to hook innocent people through enticing words… Jesus said: watch and pray.

    "Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning

    our common salvation, I found it necessary to write you

    exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith

    this was once delivered to the saints,"

    —Jude 3

    Substantial proof surrounds every page and volume of God’s word, and Paul illustrated various stages of God’s people’s existence from Genesis forward. We serve an awesome God whose victories must be shared over-and-over again to increase our faith. We are to exemplify living faith for a living Savior, not merely empty professions, and creeds without purpose, or theories that are not Biblically sound. There is not a force, a power, or invention that can actually offer pure deliverance to men and women during times of actual conflicts than having a strong personal Faith in (Yahweh) the True and Living God, who can deliver, mend our brokenness, heal our body, mind, spirit, sustain life, and heal our nation. At the close of the 10th Chapter of Hebrews: [10: 38-39], [Apostle Paul is generally recognized as writer; though not documented]. Apostle Paul used the opportunity to introduced a provoking argument: that the Law of faith, which holds eternal rewards, would be lost should the new Christians detour from the path of righteousness. One of the foremost objectives he projected to the Jewish Christians was encouraging them
