Life is a journey. Such simple words but oh so true. We are the helmsman/woman of our ship, captains of our destiny. Every decision we make or don't make defines our life. As a life coach, it has been an honor to help my clients move forward with their plans and ambitions. Life coaching is a collaboration between coach and client to realize the client's goals. In this work, four situations are examined (names changed to protect privacy) and we see how each individual arrived at a resolution. We also try to extract the life lessons learned.

KAI
CHAPTER 1: KAI
Kai had been on the job for 14 years. It was a steady government job with good pension prospects, but it was stressful. Despite this, Kai was good at her job, seemed to get along with her co-workers and even managed to squeeze in college courses at night, which led to her attaining a bachelor’s degree in psychology. When we started coaching, Kai let me know that she had general dislike for her job. Some of the reasons were disdain for co-workers, dislike and lack of respect for supervisors, and overall disillusionment and boredom with the job.
Due to these reasons her behavior was not exemplary. She was calling out and acting out at work. Supervisors were fed up with her as well and things were bound to come to a head. We talked about the job itself. I asked her to think of some
