()
About this ebook
Change, the journey to becoming a better person is born out of a love for young people and adults who seek direction and a mindset change in a world that is constantly evolving.
We hold on to old beliefs that might not be working for us any longer and seek a way forward to face the challenges life presents. How do we challenge the norm and create our own paths? How do we determine our value systems and purpose? How can we become mindful in a highly distracting world, where we are told to be this or that without cognizance of who we truly are within? Is there a place for mentoring or counselling? How do we manage our thoughts?
This book in a series of worksheets and simple admonitions, reveal steps that we can take to create the desired change we wish for. Everyone who reads and takes the time to follow the exercises would greatly benefit from the book’s simple discourse.

Epigraph
Self-transformation starts with a period of inner reflection. These questions lead to deep introspection. You could become astonished at what you discover and then as you become more aware and enlightened, you metamorphosize like a butterfly. In so many ways, a deliberate attention to your life and its issues lead to a transformation from mind to body and even spiritually. Intentional living starts when we renew our minds. Our thought processes. They affect and influence us and our environment.
-Adeola Temitope Aina
Transformations are a part of life. We are constantly being changed by things changing around us. Nobody can control that. Nobody can control the environment, the economy, luck, or the moods of others. Compositions change. Positions change. Dispositions change. Experiences change. Opportunities and attitudes change. You will change.
- Suzy Kassem.
Dedication
To all young adults and people striving to become better. May you achieve all you set out to do.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
I appreciate my family for resources and time they make for me to keep at what I do creatively. I am grateful to friends who keep encouraging me.
Special thanks to my dear cousin, ‘Sola Moore’ who gifted me a course on personal development at the onset of the pandemic in 2020. She opened the doors to a series of professional classes and courses that harnessed my thoughts on the topic. Through tenacity and staying the course, I got certified as a Life and Mindfulness Coach, something I am passionate about even though my core field and work experience is in Tax and Finance.
My mum and aunt, P.O Oluwasanya and C.O Osipitan; astute CEOs and professionals who blaze the trail in their respective fields of endeavour. Over the years, they have been solid examples of what hard work, resilience and focus can achieve. They re-defined the standards especially for us girls and showed us their children that challenges regardless, you can excel at what you do.
For many years I put the ideas and experience gained from various fora and training on the back burner but the COVID 19 lockdown gave me time to sit, research and review personal change management. This book is the product of my endeavour.
I would like to appreciate Margaret Ifeoma Omovbude for her golden nuggets on social media that keep inspiring and motivating. She was the first professional I came in contact with who gave me insight into change management.
Thanks to QueenPillar Media and CEO, Queen Esther Abiola whose editing skills brought this book to reality. It has been a great experience working with and learning from you all.
Foreword
When Temitope asked me to write the foreword of her second book - ‘Change, the journey to becoming a better person’, l was elated. Knowing Temitope for thirty-two years and seeing her living her dream, touching lives, sharing nuggets of wisdom, gently guiding and nudging everyone on her path towards being the best version of themselves is truly a dream come true and a privilege for me.
I delved into the book and found that she had taken her time to break down the general principles of change into relatable day to day and easy to understand concepts. Change as we all know is the only thing that is constant in life. How to cope with this process of change is the task many are burdened with.
When you utilize the worksheets provided, you will find it easier to make the mindset changes required to get you to the next destination that you desire in your daily experiences.
Through the challenges and problems of life, we must learn to navigate life positively, creating memories and leaving "magic" on the sands of time. We must allow ourselves to go through the process of life and living whilst growing and maturing, most importantly harnessing the ability to share our experiences and encourage others.
The key to living free of worries is to know the secret to life. This secret is that "tomorrow will take care of itself". Learning to live in the present is the highlight for me as this is my current reality. Being thankful that things could have been worse and grateful for what we have daily, knowing that as we have life, there
