Procrastination, on the surface, affects the quality of your task. On the contrary, it is considered as a complex problem where you continuously lull yourself with false optimism that everything is under control. At this point, you start to abandon all further efforts to improve your work and reassure yourself that everything is fine as long as you make progress.
So, when does procrastination become a problem? As you subject yourself to the pessimistic thoughts that a task is too difficult, time-wasting, or even frustrating, your belief system about your competence changes. You rationalize that even if you do the task at a later time, the outcome will just be the same. This creates a disparaging view of yourself, and only strengthens your habit of not doing anything and further impedes your active self.
Say, you start your day with a big smile on your face and full of enthusiasm to get ahead with today’s work.
