    An Inner Peace - R.B. Smith

    Living in America

    To live in an America where everyone is equal

    Would be like living a dream; a paradise sequel.

    To live in an America and be free from hate

    Would be living a culture where everyone could be great.

    People would converse and communicate their differences

    They would be respectful and listen with great significance.

    People would understand we are more alike, than what we share

    People would be more patient and help out everywhere.

    We would thrive because we would be as one;

    Understanding that doesn’t make us agree on what needs to be done

    Children could be reared in a more productive society

    This would help build the future and remove anxiety.

    We could concentrate on protecting planet earth,

    We could focus on giving back and doing first things first.

    We would be able to represent what America truly stands for

    The land of the free and the opportunity for more.

    If I lived in an America where there was liberty and justice for all

    Our flag would mean everything and always stand tall
