Whether exploring the neighborhood woods or playground adventures, Elle was outside from early morning until dusk. As she grew, her fascination with words grew too.She received an urgent message from Spirit that she was holding ancient wisdom that needed to be shared with children. From there, Nature Connections was born. One of her roles in life was to become a pollinator of nature’s wisdom and share it with children in fun, fanciful stories. After leaving corporate life at 58, Spirit led her into the world of alternative and energy healing. Through her deep connection with nature, she was led to study Plant Spirit Medicine. She was a late bloomer but right on schedule with destiny. As a college graduate from Appalachian State University, she became a pioneer for women in business during the mid-70s and was hired into positions traditionally held by men. For example, she was the first female Zone Representative in the Carolinas for Ford Motor Company, a Vice President of Sales for Ceridian Corporation and culminating her career as an Executive Director of Learning & Development for a 26,000-employee pharmaceutical research organization, Quintiles, before departing in 2012.She acknowledges we are living in extraordinary times and everyone needs to awaken to what really matters: we are all connected through nature as one!

Nature Connections - Elle Travis
May Day
Come play with me, it’s May Day! You can call me Light Feather, but that’s not my real name. No one can know that! But you can find me outside in the ’tween places, in-between the creek and the bank, between dawn and daylight, and dusk and dark. You’ll need to use your imagination to find me! I’ll help you get the idea by hiding in this story in 1 picture. Oh, I’m so glad you want to explore nature with me! Here we go…
The children were singing and dancing to get ready for May Day. I saw their excitement and asked the flowers to open, so the celebration would be extra special this year! Only believers have eyes to see me and only when I want to be seen, which isn’t very often these days!
One of the moms for the May Day celebration played outside when she was a child, and I knew her well! She had untold adventures playing make-believe with trees, rocks, and insects. They would show up right on time because my friends and I were with her making magic. Now her son is enjoying adventures in nature and I know him, too! He loves to play
