I'm the daughter of three countries,
three cultures
from Palestine and Malaysia,
and America.
I wear three cultures,
a thobe from Palestine
a baju kuruang from Malaysia
I eat three cultures,
from Palestine
land of the,
almonds and apricots,
olives and oranges,
and thyme.
From Malaysia,
land of the,
ginger and soy sauce,
rambutan and papayas,
mango and bananas.
From America,
land of the,
fried chicken and corn,
hotdogs and brownies.
I'm from three countries,
proud of who I am,
an Arab, Malaysian,
and American..
Malaysia
Malaysia is
the tropics in the middle of the ocean
the mountains so high in the sky
the mosquitoes waiting to bite
Malaysia is
the water so clear in the rivers and oceans
the lizard clicking on the night
the rain splashing in the sunlight
the bikers riding around town
Malaysia is
a warm feeling inside the world
a cool shower after a hot day
