About this ebook
Breast Cancer Awareness is known. Breast Cancer education is overlooked. Breast cancer is about a pink ribbon celebration annually with walks and donations and corny reposted messages. What the book I Cry is about is the one, on-the-court experience, the as lived experienc
Judy- Lee
Who is Judy-Lee? She is a woman who has faced adversity head on and come through. Having lost a sister and cousin to breast cancer, she knew the perils of the disease and never considered it to be her path in life. In 2016 that changed and she had to confront the decision of mastectomy or live. The choice seems obvious yet the struggle to reach the decision and live a life as an "unnatural" woman was real. She found healing throughout the excruciating pain of recovery and insomnia through art merging her love for photography and new technology which assisted her in being in the zone while being in pain. She wants to educate and make a difference in bringing awareness to the variety of experiences one may go through as they deal with breast cancer and mastectomy. She lives in California and is working on the next book in this series as well as a book based on her sister's life as pioneer in aviation in Jamaica and a casualty of breast cancer. Judy-Lee speaks on how to soar to new heights in the face of adversity. Judy-Lee has a BA in Radio Television Film Production from California State University, Northridge.

I Cry - Judy- Lee
Dedication
To all the women before me who met the challenge and those who did not, thank you.
To Yola, my sister who valiantly fought for herself and her family in 2020.
To Lauren for allowing me to be free in my body and for capturing me in my experience of exquisite beauty.
To my family and friends, who were there to support me. Without their vision, their compassion and their ability to gather up the troops, sitting with me for hours at doctor’s appointments, walking me through insurance procedures, food trains and companionship, this journey would have been lonely.
The persons who offered their ears as I cried and didn’t know what to do. There are many hands at the source of this creation and every one of you knows who you are. You kept me creating myself to be braver than I knew myself to be.
I am forever grateful for all of what you have contributed and continue to contribute to my life and the vision I have for all women living in dignity and having the choice to make decisions about their own bodies.
I CRY
Hope meditation and guidance

What is mastectomy? What is a double mastectomy? What are the benefits of a double as opposed to a single? What is the prognosis? What type do I have? How can I find a surgeon? What does my insurance cover? Do I get time off from work? What do I need for my recovery? How long is the recovery? What size do you want to be? Do you want implants, DIEP Flap or go flat? What is DIEP? How long has the plastic surgeon worked? What is their rating Who will support me? Do I have enough money to cover it all? What about…? It never stops…
I never learn anything talking. I only learn things when I ask questions.
