About the Author
Introduction
Welcome, friend. Thanks for taking this little journey with me. I hope the next 30 days bring you clarity and confidence. This concept of purpose and calling is a hard one, but important. In fact, let me tell you a little bit about why I wrote this journal.
Honestly, I have lost track of the number of times in my life I have looked around and thought, Why am I even here?
It amazes me how often I flounder, wondering what my purpose could possibly be.
I have found that there tend to be two times in life when we lose our sense of purpose: when life is ordinary and when it is extraordinary. Think about it… When our lives seem mundane, the same day in and day out, we might think, Am I actually doing anything of value? Do I really need to be here?
And when something extraordinary happens—parenthood, a job change, a pandemic—we can get completely thrown off-course and feel rudderless, wondering how we got here and what on earth we’re supposed to be doing.
When we lose our sense of direction, we need a compass to point us to true north. And just in case I need to spell it out for you, God is our true north, and His Word is our compass. Although the Bible’s primary purpose is to tell who God is, it also has quite a bit to say about who we are and why we’re here—that, my friend,
