About this ebook

When The Father Instituted Prayer, He righteously designed it to be equipped with His purpose to accomplish His will. Satan knowing this, has tried to redefine prayer to have us think that prayer is based on our purpose—not God’s. This has led to a misunderstanding and misuse of prayer. Kept By The Word - Lynet Winfrey

    PREFACE

The main purpose of this book is to reveal a sacred understanding of prayer and its association with God’s kingdom. Prayer is endowed with a holy unction from God and this unction is of such great significance that prayer, before we get down on our knees, carries its own authority to point to the Father as the Creator, Jesus as our Redeemer, and the Holy Spirit as our Witness.

This book will demonstrate how the Father is the initiator of prayer to cause us to utilize His authority on earth, how Jesus is the one who reconciles us through prayer to become a part of God’s kingdom, and how the Holy Spirit is the one who places in us the purpose and power of prayer as divinely understood by heaven. Therefore, prayer is so tightly linked to faith that it can be understood as the highest demonstration of faith mankind can ever exercise toward God while on earth.

May the Spirit of the living God dwell with you, so you receive a complete and true knowledge of prayer.

    Part one

    WHAT PRAYER IS

    PRAYER BEFORE

    THE FALL OF MAN

Prayer, as we know it today, does not measure up to what it was in the beginning. If we are to believe in its sacredness, we would understand how it is the same face-to-face communion Adam and Eve had with God. It illustrates how we are, as Adam and Eve were, in the direct presence of God. For us to grow in this most vital truth, we must understand how God utilizes prayer to cause us to abide in His word.

    A More In-depth Understanding

When God created Adam and Eve, He created them to dwell before Him and with Him in holiness. They recognized God as their Creator and the proof of this was their face-to-face communion with Him. Communion links the creature to the Creator. It is the evidence of the creature belonging to the Creator, and it is the language of the creature testifying of how God is God. Adam and Eve’s communion with the Father not only bore witness to these facts, but their communion was also the evidence of their dwelling in His presence in holiness.

    Sins Deception

When Adam and Eve sinned, their allegiance switched from God to the Adversary. For a moment, sin deceived them and caused them to forget God was the Creator of their lives. Satan, as the originator of sin, was, momentarily, the ruler of their lives.

But God forbids this. Therefore, God walked in the garden in the cool of the day to ask Adam, Who told you, you were necked? When God said who, He intentionally spoke to the mind of Adam to have him understand that there was another one there—an imposter, a pretender, someone who was playing God who was not God. God knew the heart of the Adversary, why he initiated sin, and why he tempted Adam and Eve. He knew Satan was there seeking to build a kingdom. Sin is what Satan uses to mislead subjects to his kingdom.

The question God asked Adam was not a rhetorical one. Rather, it was one God spoke to open Adam’s eyes—to who the Creator was and to what kingdom he belonged. God’s walking in the Garden of Eden was His declaration to the Adversary and to Adam that He is the Creator and all things belong to Him.

May the everlasting will of the Holy Ghost bless your understanding in the reading of this word.

    Amen, in Jesus, Amen!

    OUR FATHER

PRAYER IS THE COMMUNION OF GOD’S KINGDOM

    PRAYER AND GOD’S

    KINGDOM

Now, enter into the knowledge of God who is holy. Psalms 22:28 tells us, The kingdom is the LORD’s: and he is the ruler of the nations What nations? The nations that came from His word: For he spake, and it was done… (Psalms 33:9). This verse confirms that God is the ruler of all nations since He created them with His word.

As with most nations, for a citizen to belong to a nation he must exercise the rights of that nation. For example, if I say I am an American citizen, I must exercise the constitutional rights of America in a manner that the American government regulates. Likewise, with the kingdom of God, if a person is a citizen of righteousness, then he must also exercise his divine constitutional rights, by keeping the commandments of the Most High God. And this must be done in a way that His government testifies to.

Romans 1:5 speaks of …obedience to the faith among all nations for his name. Every nation under God obeys by faith. Why? For His name. Or more simply, because He is God. God’s name warrants our obedience by faith. It is a type of cause and effect. The effect of His name upon humanity causes all of us to have faith. The only way we, as fallen men, can exercise faith to demonstrate that we belong to His kingdom is through prayer. Prayer is the voice of every citizen who is [obedient] to the faith. What faith? The faith of God, which is His commandments (see Romans 3:2–3). The prayers of this earthly nation must express the righteous nature of the Ten Commandments.

Let’s explore the matter further. Since every law belongs to a kingdom and every kingdom has a king, it must be understood that the king’s people communicate with the king through his law. The king’s law is the communication of his kingdom. So, every citizen of God’s
