Vusi Mxolisi Zitha is always been known by his virtue of honesty and integrity. His educational background in Nature Conservation includes writing of reports, articles and conducting field research.  In 2009 he was involved in a Road Safety school debate under the motion: “Public transport and infrastructures are now ready for the 2010 FIFA world cup”. He got a certificate of achievement from the road safety department having been successfully defeating over nine schools contesting. His scholastic contextual in nature conservation and debate has given him a broad base from which to approach many topics. Vusi has also served as a youth leader in the Church of God of Prophecy for over nine years. He also conducted several sermons and hosted youth services in the church as a junior pastor under the endorsement of District overseer Mr. Herry Mpumelelo Mavuso. His first book (Each step serves a purpose) is an inspirational, motivational and courageous book based on life encounters.

    INTRODUCTION

    Proverbs are used in most circumstances to convey a particular message, to warn and to teach. In the olden days proverbs were the source of wisdom in every sense of living. Proverbs are wisdom of the knowledgeable passed down from generation to generation; they are sayings and usually contain good advice for living.

    What use is meat to a lion without teeth?

    What use is knowledge to a fool?

    Can a person without vision prepare for the future?

    For a person without vision has no insight for the future.

    A venomous snake is defenseless without its fangs.

    Meaning; everyone have a strong point of his own.

    Ignorance is a disease and the best remedy is to acquire knowledge.

    Meaning; ignorance is lack of knowledge

    The only medicine to foolishness is wisdom.

    Meaning; without wisdom you remain a fool.

    Only a determined warrior is not afraid of death.

    Meaning; nothing can stop you if you are highly inspired to do something

    Strong-minded people are not afraid of failure

    Knowledge is what a fool cannot comprehend.

    Meaning; knowledge is too hard for a fool to understand.

    What amuses a fool can be detestable to the wise.

    Meaning; a fool and a wise man are differ in their approach.

    A fool is always a victim of his own folly.

    Meaning; what a fool does, turns out to act against him.

    Foolishness is what destroys a fool.

    What a fool builds with his right hand, he destroys it with his left.

    Meaning; a fool always act without reasoning.

    What a fool builds is what a fool destroys.

    The death of a wise person is the fall of many.

    Meaning; many benefits from wise people and if they die, it is a stumble for them at some point.

    The size of an animal is of no matter to the boldness of a lion.

    Meaning where there’s confidence fear has no room.

    If you are bold no standard is too high for you.

    Fear is without existence in the pride of lions.

    Meaning; people who believe in themselves have nothing to worry about

    A bird without wings is not better off than a guinea fowl.

    It is said when the person with many faults criticizes the faults of other people.

    The person who is blind and the person who lacks insight share a similar problem.

    A Wiseman possesses wisdom as their wealth; however folly is a fool's poverty.

    Meaning; with wisdom wealth is establish, though the reward of foolishness is devastation.

    Wise people are rich in wisdom but contempt is the reward of a fool.

    If folly is the foundation of an empire, it is only a matter of time, it will soon collapse.

    Meaning; whatever is constructed out of foolishness will not last long.

    A peach may look beautiful from the outside, but the inside may be rotten.

    Meaning; that a person is beautiful in appearance doesn’t mean that the heart is also the same.

    The outward of something often doesn’t represent the inside.

    It can also be said when a person behave to be good while he is bad.

    Whoever saws must surely reap,

    Meaning; in everything you do, there’s a reward.

    Whatever you do, you must expect the consequences

    He who is lazy will have himself to blame.

    Meaning; you can’t blame someone else for your own idleness.

    If you fall in the midst of your journey do you go back or you rise and continue?

    This question is referred to people who give up after failing.

    Only a fool knows the color of the wind.

    Meaning; a fool answers according to his folly.

    It is said when a person shows a total display of foolishness

    If you crown a fool a crown of senselessness, you are crowning the right king.

    Meaning; a fool is well known by his/her pointlessness.

    If you give to the fool what he/she deserves, you give it to the right person.

    In a state infested by laziness, poverty rules with an iron fist.

    Meaning; poverty exist amongst people who lacks abilities to do something.

    A tree that bares no fruits is an abandoned tree.

    Meaning; people who have no inspiration, lacks productivity.

    When the mouth refuses to eat it is the stomach that agonizes.
