I married my childhood love. We started dating in secret when I was fourteen, but eventually, our families meshed as one. I lost my virginity to my first love. Our dating years had plenty of ups and downs, like any couple. Even though he had children outside of our relationship, at the age of 20 I accepted his marriage proposal. I chose our relationship over my college acceptance.
Our wedding and honeymoon are some of my most beautiful memories of our relationship. I would not trade having and raising our three children for anything. Intermittently throughout our relationship, we certainly had good times. He was a great provider and he was helpful in the home and with the children. Our family meant everything to me.
Marrying young came with huge transitions. I learned everything with him. I grew with him. I learned how to be his wife.
My first pregnancy brought about a lot of big life changes. Neither of us had any idea of the changes my body would go through or the hormonal changes that would occur. These changes put a major strain on our
