    Ignited Journey - H' Elene

    Space: A Canvas

From nothing, came art, creativity, emotions, and discovery. No paint was needed when you had your souls as the brush, coloring every shade that at one time, blinded your light. There was no thinking or planning, just connecting to the inner child that had no voice or outlet and used music to be free.

Sadness turned into madness… You were drowning within, while bad habits poured out. How lonely were you when a lighter was your only friend? It dried the leaks in your heart; there were only a few to look back at, but it was divine when, even for a second, beautiful sparks helped pass the time… Pause… If only these walls could frame this feeling that pulled love from above.

    Oh Fuck

Damn… I had dreams and shit, but most of the family were fiends, so that graveyard stayed lit: Shootouts on birthdays, praying we’d make it to 36… And how could I forget my first kiss? It was during my 17th birthday, and he had me squirting waterfalls until the memories were burned to bits. No mother or father: the lyrics tucked me in and put band aids on my wounds… It got me working 40 hours a week and selling dope just to keep all 12 of us in this room.

I had goals… Now I keep bundles on my hoes. I could’ve sworn I saw that light at the end of tunnel, but it was just a train, and now I’m back to the struggle: life passing by while my friends are taking trips… Man, fuck this
