Day 1
A haven for the morally broken
Claims to offer freedom through compliance
To rules, where denial, left unspoken,
Is said to surely strengthen reliance
On what led these fine people astray.
So desperate for change the sheep will follow
The path laid down by the shepherd's dismay
But does it promise they won't stay hollow?
He who feels safe venturing from the herd
Is struck down by the wolves of their mind
And slowly as their vision becomes blurred
They find themselves truly entwined
In the vines of all consuming despair,
Unable to flee from their demon's lair.
Day 2
The simplicity of hiding
Overburdens us with grievance.
Trapped in a cycle of sliding,
We kneel in our obedience.
Constantly running, drenched in fear,
The thought of facing shame consumes
Us to the point that our ears can't hear;
Our breath inhales the burning fumes.
Hopelessness devours our souls
And taints the love we used to see.
Slowly losing our self-control;
A slave that wishes to be free.
A deceptive wall holds us in,
We fight battles we cannot win.
Day 3
How I fear the call of the void,
So tempting as all time does freeze.
For quickly all can be destroyed.
How I fear the call of the void.
By a thread I seem to avoid
The unwanted yet gentle tease.
How I fear the call of the void,
So tempting as all time does freeze.
Day 4
For what I scour,
The extinct flower
Hidden from my eye,
I await my guide.
Overwhelming fear
Yet, I hold it dear.
A cursèd being
Living and seeing.
My hope has
