Her christian based, southern influenced and close knit family structure shaped much of her perspective early on. In 2014 Danielle recieved her Associates deree in human services. Currently residing in Birmingham, Alabama she pursues a career in the medical field. Always having had a heart to serve and a genuine love for others she is in the process of serveral projects to give back to her community and culture. Writing has become another outlet by which she does so.

Prelude
Poetry has been around for thousands of years. It predates literacy. Many would concur that writing is an art. Art in its purest form has the potential to abundantly inspire, encourage and heal. Studies suggest that reading keeps the brain active, and reading poetry activates certain parts of the brain linked to introspection. I was delighted when I read that Poetry has the capability of increasing self-reflection and stimulating relaxation. In these pages, I share with you more than just creativity. I share with you life experiences, learned lessons, some bitter some sweet but most importantly; I share the utmost authentic parts of myself, with hope that you find it to be relatable on some level or another. As we embark on this voyage one is certain to extract passion, love, pain and prowess. I’ve come to find that what many human beings are terrified of is being transparent out of fear of judgment. Thus, making one of life’s greatest challenges, being true to self. Poetry has been the outlet that has freed me from the fate of inauthenticity. To accomplish a task such as that is
