these poems are dedicated to:
people who spend nights overthinking life, social media junkies, anime nerds, friends, and the relatives who thought I was going to slip up because they didn’t like my mom
Honey
Over tea
I want to tell my grandma, life can be really shitty,
like
really shitty,
you have to go to school in order to be
what society deems successful,
then work, work harder in order to make money
because that’s just how the world functions.
Painfully bitter
the wholesomeness carried by her yesteryears is no more.
Children don’t blossom the same,
hearts do not ache the same,
grins don’t widen the same,
it’s a shame.

didn’t feel tired,
wanted to know the sky you slept under
whether it was the same as mine.
