Raunak suddenly finds himself back at the campsite to see Samaira peacefully sleeping, having no memory of the kidnapping.
What happened to her? Is she acting or her memory has been erased? Did the kidnapping really happen or did Raunak create this story to veil something dark? Or is the deadly sinner back again with an ominous bang?
Little do they know that there is something sinister, deep and dense behind every little thing that happens around them.

PREVIOUSLY ON SINNERS AND SECRETS
(Excerpts from Sinners and Secrets episode 7 – The Psychopath)
When the CB-CID finds an unknown man standing next to the corpse of a young girl deep in the woods, they pick him up and try to make him talk, thinking that he is a psychopath. But the man doesn’t move a muscle during the interrogation. The body of the girl is filled with satanic symbols and the team begins to believe that she fell prey to some devious satanic ritual.
Dr Neeraj Reddy, a reputed psychiatrist declares that the man arrested had been exposed to such physical and mental trauma that his entire body shuts down when he tries to muster up his emotions. Owing to a strange medical condition no one had seen before, the CB-CID gets muddled on how to proceed with the case without knowing who the man is. Samaira releases the man’s picture on several media and a woman named Nandhini recognizes him to be her husband, who had gone missing ten years ago. She reveals that the man’s name is Karan Verma and that he had been an investigative journalist for CNBC, and that he went missing ten years ago.
Excited with the whole new direction of the case, Raunak interrogates the wife further and learns that Karan had been Shyam’s close friend – Shyam being the social activist who was murdered a year ago (whose father, and the inspector who handled the case were brutally murdered too, wherein Azazel leaves a note to Raunak, asking him to back off from Shyam’s case, which does without further question).
The dots seem to connect without a reason and Raunak also learns that Karan and Shyam had been working on a particular case before he went missing. He believes that the case, whatever it was, could be the reason behind their conditions – one dead and another mute.
The mute psychopath starts speaking in phrases when his wife speaks to him, and the team try hard to decipher his words.
They…kidnap…kis…tortu…adren…drag
They learn that he was kept in a place where lots of kids were tortured in a lead mine. Dr Neeraj says that the word ‘adren’ stands for ‘adrenochrome’ – an immortality serum used by elite people, which is extracted from living children. It is generally associated with satanic rituals, and the team firmly believes that the dead girl could have been one of the victims of this horrific ritual.
Raunak and Samaira believe that this could have been the case Shyam and Karan were dealing with before Karan went missing.
Think about it,
starts Samaira "Shyam is a social activist. Karan is an undercover reporter. They are best friends. They’re at Karan’s house, discussing normally about the cases, having fun. They have the habit of discussing their work at the end of the day. Both of them are extremely good at their jobs. One fine day, they step onto something, something huge – something that has been kept as a secret forever, something that would shake the nation. They want to expose it all. They make a secret pact. Karan gathers as many proofs as possible, and Shyam makes them public, when the proofs are ready. But Karan gets caught in the process. The bad guys kidnap him, torture him
